Renacer

Simply put, this cd is amazing; a great come back and new start. I've been a Senses Fail fan for years, since I was about 17 and first listened to From the Depths of Dreams. I kind of feel like I grew up with Senses Fail; I've always been able to relate to the lyrics and the music on each cd in some way. Unlike many others, I don't expect bands to stay the same, or for every one of their songs to all sound alike. This is what makes Renacer so amazing; the music is heavy, very raw, and combined with the upbeat lyrics and melodies it just makes you say wow. I was thrown off for a second and asked myself, "is this a love song?" and indeed it was. I've always liked SF for the lyrics but Buddy really hit it with this one, especially on #12 (Between the Mountain and the Sea). Life is Not a Waiting Room and The Fire had good songs in them but this cd to me felt complete from begining to end like Let it Enfold You. I liked The Fire but I was left wanting a little more depth and SF delivered with this one. I'm 27 now and I love that SF grew up with me like an old friend who I can still relate to. For those that say this is not for SF fans, or that they aren't the same band they were, I would say those people were not fans at all. If you are a fan you then you'll want your favorite band to keep progressing as artists and moving foward. I like this new direction with dark upbeat lyrics and heavy music, and I want SF to keep maturing along with me; 10 years from now I don't know where I'll be but I would want SF to be there with me.

Much heavier sound than their previous installments. I personally enjoy this album more than their others due to this fact. Guitars have become much simpler, which is a change, but definitely not a negative one. Also, the overall theme of the lyrics has changed dramatically. Whereas their older albums had "lighter" music and lyrics that I can only describe as a bit of a downer, the subject matter of this album's lyrics is quite uplifting. Again, this change is for the better in my opinion.Overall, probably my favorite CD by this band.

Renacer is exactly what the album title suggests; it's a rebirth. I had not listened to senses fail for a couple of years after I was disappointed in their album 'the fire' and I found out early 2014 that their they had released yet another album. With great reluctance, I was afraid that it would be similar to their previous album but decided to check it out... I bought it. Renacer is an amazing album with a much heavier sound with lyrics that kick you in your chest and make you want to analyze who you are and improve yourself. This album is much different from their earlier works in terms of structure and song meanings (surprisingly it's more positive in 'renacer')but senses fail had one thing that always showed in their music and that is passion. This album is no different. In fact, I would argue it showed much more in this album. If you're a fan of senses fail, get this album.

if you are familiar with their albums before this point, you'll notice the shift in attitude and message in this album compared to those previous. but the sound itself is incredible and its definitely still senses fail. probably one of their hardest yet. IMO, nothing has been quite as vivid and raw as New Year's Eve on The Fire album. Regardless, this album kicks ass and Senses Fail definitely displays quite the "rebirth".

Pretty good, nothing amazing. I do like the direction they're taking.

While I LOVED Still Searching, the next two albums were more of the same. Buddy was still always razor sharp lyrically, but you can catch a recycled riff or structure here and there. I never believed it was for lack of trying though, and I still really enjoy Life is... and The Fire.Renacer is a whole different monster. I would give it five stars on merit alone if the music wasn't well-done.This is not your dad's Senses Fail.

im still easing myself into this one. i was super excited for some fresh senses fail and so far its good i just gotta give it some time but its pretty good i had to do the same with "the fire" but my favorite song so far is "glass"

Senses Fail's most artistic release to date. I love how heavy and diverse this CD is. Hoping they keep making music like this.

Leute, das Album ist der Hammer. Wie kann man so leidend und gleichzeitig so aggressiv singen ?? Ja, meist wird 'gegrunzt', aber zum richtigen Zeitpunkt setzt klarer Gesang ein. Hammer. Die Highlightsongs ? ALLE. Auch für jemanden, der es nicht ganz so brutal hart mag, ein echter Tip. Mehr als 5 Punkte gibt es ja nicht. Aber die sind es dann auch !! Kaufen Kaufen Kaufen

2002年にアメリカはニュージャージー州で結成されたポストハードコアバンド、SENSES FAILが2013年にリリースした5枚目のフルアルバム。前作から3年ぶりのリリースとなる本作はハードコアパンクやメタルコア的な荒々しさを大々的にフィーチャーした作風となっておりおそらくこれまでの作品の中で一番タフな仕上がりになっているのではないだろうか。元が比較的音軽めの初期スクリーモと言った趣のバンドだったので別バンドになったのかと思うくらいの変化に戸惑うファンの方も多くいるかもしれない。本作収録曲"Mi Amor"のMVを観て少なくとも自分はとても驚いた（映像の内容にも・・・でもこういうの嫌いじゃない笑）。しかしタフガイ系の咆哮やスクリームの後に聞こえてくるのは紛れもなくSENSES FAIL節の効いた素晴らしい歌メロの数々でVo.のBuddy Nielsenによるヘッポコだがとても胸に響く歌唱は本作でも健在だ。ハードコア化しても作品全体が激しいわけではなく、MVも作られた"Between The Mountains And The Sea"のようなセンチメンタルな楽曲や『静』のパートあちこちに織り交ぜた楽曲や持ち味のエモさも忘れずにしっかり盛り込まれている。モダンなバンドとは違う生々しいプロダクションとヘヴィな音像にさえ抵抗がなければとても素晴らしいアルバムに仕上がっていると思う。改めてこのバンドに惚れ直した一枚だった。

Trotz einem Monat Verspätung, ein geiles und endlich mal wieder härteres Album meiner Lieblings Band! Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall mal reinzuhören^^
