Safety Turtle Child Immersion Pool/Water Alarm Kit - 2 Green Wristbands

Bought this last summer. After my 30 day return window was up, I received a recall notice telling me this "life saving device" for my 2 toddlers "may" not work. I begged for this company (Terrapin) to allow me to return this even though it was past 30 days, for obvious reasons. After many "no's", I finally talked to someone who "did me a favor" by redirecting this issue to the company they bought the product from before selling it to me. They gave me specific directions on how and where to ship this product, which I followed. After a couple weeks without hearing anything, I called back. Terrapin told me they had no record of this product being returned (even with a tracking number which I supplied per their request) and that I was "out of luck and there was nothing they or anyone could do". They blamed the post office and the manufacturer for being "disorganized", but I feel it's the job of the "seller" to make this situation right. So in the end, I am left without this recalled device and my $273 bucks!!! PURCHASING FROM THIS SELLER WAS A BIG MISTAKE!

I tried to place the base unit in multiple areas and regardless of where I placed it the entire pool was not covered by the sensor therefore I am returning it. It's not a safety device if it won't go off if you go into only certain parts of the pool. I hate that it doesn't work well. I am still in need of a good alarm to safeguard my child but will have to continue to look.
