It works
When we moved here 3 1\2 years ago we literally moved into a den of snakes. Non-venomous but they still can bite causing nasty infections. So we started using SnakeBgon and now we usually only see 1 to 3 garter snakes in the Spring. So yes it works!

I can’t complain
The media could not be loaded. Ok so, I love my cat.She likes to have a daily recess in the garage. Unfortunately, our garage isn’t sealed lock tight at the bottom. This has resulted in many injured, or even “passed away” Garter snakes. While I appreciate that she might be attempting to protect us from deadly intruders, I feel bad for the damn snakes :[I sprinkled just a dainty line along the front edge of the garage, and on a nearby tall grass plant that snakes like to hide in.We haven’t had another snake sacrifice yet.. it’s been over a month.I’ve reapplied just once more in between, and as much as I am skeptical with products like this.. I have to be honest and give it a 5 star. So far no complaints! If it’s a fluke, and I find more mummified snakes, I’ll update this review.Until then, thank you Snake B Gone for giving me a break from screaming weekly, removing snakes from my garage w/ a clothes hanger.

Don't know for sure.
This product appears to be effective in keeping larger snakes out of my yard, as I haven't seen any since using it. However, it doesn't seem to deter Brown Texas Snakes.

Two years ago I had some non venimous snakes in the bushes around my house. Used Snake B Gon every month during summer and didn't see any more snakes when doing lawn work.Moved to new house surrounded by a TVA forrest area last month and found a 24 inch grey rat snake in my garage. Ordered Snake B Gon and applied it around the house. The next morning found a large Copperhead about 20-30 feet away from the area around my house where I had treated, laying in the grass. This is unusual for a Copperhead to be laying out exposed like that. Got a shovel to kill him and missed. He quickly retreated towards the house through the Snake B Gon treated area and disappeared down a hole next to the house foundation. Opened a new can of Snake B Gon, threw it down the hole and waited. A few minutes later he comes back out. Snake B Gon for sure now.I think that the original application of Snake B Gon the previous evening had kept him out of his hole which is how I found him. He didn't seem to like me throwing it down the hole at him. I will continue using this once a month around the house.

No Snake's so Far...
Live in Southeast Texas, where it’s a moist climate, okay, moist is an understatement, it’s a dripping hot miserable tropical land that is perfect for water moccasins. My mother has a pool and the pump for it is along the side of the house, so, she has to go back there fairly often. One day I went to the side of the house, smelt dead meat, didn’t think anything of it. However, went to the side of the house and opened the gate to the side yard and thought there was a random skink crawling up the fence, then after my eyes adjusted to what I was seeing, it was about a five-foot water moccasin. After calculating that I wouldn’t be able to kill it with one hit of the shovel, I closed the gate and walked away…debating whether to get pike, machete, or spear to be able to manage it if I saw it again. We’d always had snakes, just not one quite this size. HOWEVER, my neighbor also had chickens, which I’m certain contributes to this situation. My mother indicated that she’s seen a fair number of them, especially one that hangs out on the patio that she “shoo’s” away. Yeah, that’s not good. So, I did my research and got this stuff, it’s weird, you really don’t think about it if works, but we’ve been using it for a few months now and there haven’t been any snakes re-appearing. It has been a colder than usual winter, but at the same time, we’ve had enough warm days for them to pop back up. I’d argue, so far, so good, haven’t had any more snakes and I’ve replied after a few months.

not sure of snakes, but seems to work on snake food...
so the smell is a while lot better than other snake repellents that use other chemicals and napthalene (like moth balls) - its like very strong essential oils. im not sure about it repelling snakes, because i did see this 3 foot red king snake going over where i normally pour and then along the pool deck on to out to the trees (they are non venomous so i left it alone), thus the star ding. it could also be that i was late in reapplications (once a week, the bottle lasts me about a month). but i havent seen any rodents, (including squirrels), possums, raccoons, ( i have a preserve behind the house here in florida and my deer cam catches these small animals as well at night) in the areas where i apply, so i guess if the snake hasnt anything to eat in that applied area they go find someplace else.. so works in a roundabout way. My neighbor by the way has found a large black water snake and a water moccasin/cottonmouth in his patio a couple weeks ago, he doesnt apply. The two pack is a great value. I'll keep on buying this.
