Easy to use clear coat spray
Oh, this spray works really well for giving a nice shiny finish to my car. I used it at work after doing some touch-ups and it dried smoothly with a good high gloss look. The UV and scratch resistance are definitely handy. Plus, it feels pretty professional for an 11.8 oz can. 🌟 Happy with how easy it was to apply and how long it seems to last. Would buy again for sure!

Best product for automotive body work and paint
Good stuff! Give you that factory gloss finish with a high strength acrylic clear coat that will protect your shine for years to come, only 4 stars because product advertised is misleading. Thought it was 2 cans, but 1 should get me by for my next project

Great clear coat! Body Shop results at home!
This was the first time I tried this product, so I am by no means an expert in body work. Though I do know paint correction and detailing. I was thoroughly impressed with the results from this stuff. I had used some other "1K" clear coat that I got at an auto parts store an the results were terrible. Looked hazy and milky and not glossy whatsoever. So I had to wet sand that stuff off, and I ordered this after watching many different YouTube videos about this product. Before applying this I lightly scuffed up the entire fender with dry 1500 grit sandpaper. I then wiped off the residue with glass cleaner, and wiped it with a tact cloth. There are tons of YT videos that will walk you though this fairly easy prep and process to get professional results. I believe there is another brand of 2K clear available that is more expensive, but not sure why they are so much more. This product gave me, a total amateur, perfect results. So I would not have to blend it, I painted the entire fender of this car. And since this product has a limited shelf life after the 2 parts are mixed in the can I used it to coat a couple of other small things, but mostly just kept putting coats on this fender until the can ran out. I wanted there to be enough of a thickness to the coats to where I could later wet sand down the clear coat and polish it out, which is what I did about a week after I applied it. I let the coats cure for about a week or so, then I lightly wet sanded the entire fender with 2500, 3000, then 5000 grit sandpaper. I then polished it out with a DA polisher using a polishing compound and I wool pad. I then used another polish on a foam pad, then applied a coat of wax. It came out perfect. No drips, no orange peel, looked like factory.

Expensive but effective
It's a lot of money for a rattle can, but the results are great. Even after watching every application video I could find I still experienced runs and milky coverage in areas, which is all on me. The milky areas can be corrected with a heat gun on moderate setting, don't over do it. Lighter coats and more of them are what you need. Avoid close proximity of the can to surface, the exact distance you need is likely 5 to 6 inches with overlaps and beginning and end passes just as you would a spray gun, off of the area being covered. Even with my self inflicted issues, the product is great. Allow as long as you can for drying before sanding. I waited about a full week. I used the clear coat 'melter/blender' with mixed results. I'm going to have to totally re-sand, repaint and re-clear those areas. Again, I suspect those issues are a result of me versus the product. It sands well but is soft enough you have to make sure the aggressive grain marks are completely sanded out with progressive grits. I have to redo some of those areas too. Good results in buffing out 2000 and finer sanding scrathes with twisted wool pad on rotary then finishing with a D/A. I'll have to be buying more, which pains me, but that again is my doing. I found the work time after activation of the catalyst allowed me a full 48 hrs of use. Applied at 75-85 F degrees.

Stuff is great and so easy to use! Download the tech sheet off their website and follow directions
Man.. What can I say. This is my first time using it.. I have painted Base/clear with hvlp many times with fantastic results.. I actually have a gallon of southern polyurethanes universal clear to use.. But just didn't want to deal with cleanup and setup. So I wanted to try this aerosol can of spray max 2k clear. This is for my sister's 2002 Subaru forester.. I am currently doing head gaskets and her timing cover just looked so chalky and dingy. I literally spent about 5 mins degreasing with a brush used for cleaning under your nails.. Warm water and spray9 degreaser. -Then followed up with red scotch Brite pad (approx 400grit roughness) while flowing warm water to scuff surface. Let it air dry Painting CONDITIONS - it was about 67*F and 55% humidity.. Slight wind.. -I did 3 coats of Rustoleum "2x coverage" that is made for alot of substrates, including plastics. Used "satin black". -Waited 3 mins between coats for the Rustoleum base.. No primer or adhesion promoter used/needed -Waited about 20 mins before using the SPRAY MAX 2K CLEAR .. Shook well for about 2 mins after mixing ball was heard. -Pierced the can to mix the activator... And shook for another 2 mins like the instructions said (it's on their website). -Sprayed one light tack coat of clear.. - Waited about 5 mins.. -Sprayed on a 2nd medium coat... -Then another 10 min wait to do a final medium heavier coat. It is dust free around 10 mins.. And within an hour it is good to handle but in wouldn't touch the painted surface for at least one day to be safe since it's still so soft. I was blown away with how good it turned out.. I did the most half lazy effort for prep.. I did this in my driveway with the parts sitting on a cardboard box..exposed... With a light breeze.. And amazingly even with the Temps being fairly cool for painting.. It turned out excellent.. If I had known it would've laid this well...i would've spent more time prepping the parts to make any irregularities flat. I wasn't sure if the SPRAY MAX 2K CLEAR would react well with the RUSTOLEUM "2x coverage paint" or not.. But I just took my chances and it worked out exceptionally well with how little effort I put into it. I had some spray max 2k clear left over.. So I quickly cleaned her headlights which were yellowing and wetsanded parallel to the ground with 400 grit wet automotive sand paper.. And then laid one light tack coat, followed by the same wait times as mentioned earlier, did 2 nice medium coats. After (the 400 grit allows the clear to bite very well.. And won't flake/peel off. The clear filled in any of the sanding marks from the 400grit wetsanding. They looked chalk white before I laid the clear. Those turned out great as well.. And best part.. Is they are protected by real 2-Part automotive clear coat. Great stuff! And with how it laid.. No need to wetsand or buff!
