READ ALL OF IT
Order placedJuly 20, 2024-UPDATE BELOW-this is GOOD STUFF. CHEAP TOO!1: gas resistant.2: rubbing alcohol resistant.3; FIRE RESISTANT HOOO YEA [my bike caught fire and the rubbing alcohol cleaned it right off the clear coat [well 95% of it came off!] the fire was burning for about 1 min and we put it out with a hose.Instructions:when clear coating your gas tank hold the can about 1and a half foot away and do LIGHT COATS aLL OVER.let that dry. and DO IT AGAIN!REPEAT THAT 3-4 times [or as many times as you want, BUT ALLOW IT TO DRY BETWEEN COATS.I did this in one day over the course of 3 hours as it was like 75F outside and it was a dry heat. so it dried pretty damn well quickly.CONS:NOT IMPACT OR SCRATCH OR DENT RESISTANT.got scratched, and dinged. went right through this stuff.flat surfaces hold up better, but edges do not. [like the edges of a metal gas tank]

Read my review if you want the best results, not all the robot reviews.
Wasted my entire first can because I thought you had to kind of smack the button, and the directions on the can are blah. An old boy was a mess insane.DO NOT SMACK WITH A HAMMER OR ANYTHING ELSE TO ACTIVATE.It will puncture incorrectly and you will leak out the bottom, make a huge mess, ruin everything it drips on.First and foremost, the most important part is the quality of how you shake the can. If you have to set a stopwatch, so be it. You better shake the can for at least three minutes, and shake it well. I purchased one of those shaker attachments you put on your reciprocating saw. Best idea ever I really had no idea how long three minutes was until I got that.I ruined my first two cans because I was impatient. The second can I shook a bit better, but I did not commit to activating the can. So I feel like I pushed it in kind of funky, and there was drips and splatters coming out the bottom. Not where it really made a mess, but where you know you lost some product. So I’m sure my first coat was not great. Now, once you have shaken the can for two minutes you remove the button at the top in the lid, and gently place it over the nozzle in the bottom. I kind of did a little twisting motion to make sure it was snug against it cause this is going to act as the button. Now I put the can on the ground, the activator button face down. Make sure it’s a hard surface. And then I put my knee against the top of the can. Here’s the important part, commit to pushing the button in one solid motion. I just kind of dropped my weight and my knee into the can. It made a solid pop and not a single drop fell out. I didn’t tilt the can over. I left it in that 12 o’clock position and put it back on my shaker. And I shook it for three more minutes. This provided me a can, that did not have a single splatter, I’m confident the harder was activated correctly, and it came out beautifully. And please, please please do not forget to take clear coat, seriously, and fully cover up and get a solid respirator. If you’re gonna use a half face make sure this is done outside and you use goggles. No matter what you better get yourself a full body cover. This is a non-negotiable, don’t be a child, these are very dangerous chemicals.

Best "real" clearcoat out there in a can
For a spraycan clear this one it the best out there, its real 2 part and will lay down perfect. Buffs to perfection and has really no issues. All in all if you are doing small stuff and dont want to mix up clear just shoot this stuff.

This is the gold standard of aerosol finishes!
This is the only clear coat i use now for my guitars. Easy to apply, minimal orange peel and lays down nearly flawless gloss finish. Minimal sanding required to achieve a great shine!

wait till dry
watch the $16,000.00 knife build u tube /I used 352 on my knife build .9 coats. waiting 9 days to dry = sucks. 2 part epoxy. In a spray can is smart. 9 coats no runs, looks perfect, now car polish and my knife build done.
