it’s good.
The book came is in decent shape, but very fragile and stiff. So when I’ve turned some of the pages some if them have fallen off. Besides that, it’s good.

For school
I needed this book for my kids. They have to read it for their French school (we are French).Did they like it ? I don't know... But I suppose they like it as all students who must read books...

On individual resistance
A play (tragedy) about collaboration and resistance, intending to be an allegory of France (could be replaced with about any invaded country) during WWII set in the context of greek mythology.The play focus on the moral dilemnas of collaborating authorities hating to do a dirty work but doing it anyhow (because someone "has to do it" for the population, for the sake of keeping on living, even if a "lesser" life) versus individual acts of resistance, refusing any concession to their liberty and happiness. War, freedom, politics, inviduality. The book is summary but invites to an eternal discussion.

This was an excellent book. It is an adaptation of the Greek play "Antigone," by Sophocles, written here by a French existentialist author and playwright. The ending contains something of a twist from the original, and there are some excellent symbolisms contained in this play as well. Both of these elements stem from rich existentialism views. The book makes one think of the meaning of life, when and if it is worth living, or better to die instead, for a cause.

It's my favorite book
Ok, I'm french and I'm VERY surprised AMAZON sells some of our books... Anyway, Antigone is my favorite story, I'll read it everyday if I could. It makes me cry everytime and it's the coolest story about life.

Une très belle interprétation d'Antigone !
L’interprétation de Jean Anouilh est belle et touchante. J’ai senti tout ce qu'a senti Antigone. J’ai senti son amour par sa famille, j’ai senti sa peur, j’ai senti son estime pour Hémon, j’ai senti son dégout pour son oncle. J’ai adoré ce livre à tel point que depuis que je l’ai acheté en juillet 2015, je l’ai déjà relu une quinzaine des fois, sachant que je connaissais l'histoire avant de l'avoir acheté. J’ai aimé cette interprétation à ce point. L’écriture de Jean est belle, accessible, passionnante. Je ne peux rien dire à part merci à l’écrivain d’avoir réinterprété une des plus belles histoires de la mythologie grecque avec de la grâce et tant d'émotion.

VERSION PAPIER OK !
Pas de problème pour la version papier visiblement par rapport à la version Kindle sûrement car jean Anouilh ne l’avait pas prévue à son époque....Un classique revisité de la mythologie grecque encore et toujours demandé par la prof de français.

Grand classique reçu sans souci
Ce grand classique de la littérature a été acheté pour un cours de français en 3ème.Pour ce qui est de la qualité du livre lui même il n'y a rien a dire de particulier si mon fils ne l'a pas encore lu.Le livre a été reçu rapidement avec la livraison prime, ce qui était parfait pour le lire pendant les vacances.
