High quality and perfect!
Even though this product didn't work for me, I am writing a glowing review for two reasons:1) The product is beautifully made, heavy, almost like a paper weight, and sleek.2) Their customer service is amazing. But for some reason, my first generation Apple Pencil doesn't fit! My pencil (see image) appears to have extra metal rings which prevent it from going far enough into the charging cable to connect. Once the cable is removed from the stand, however, my pencil fits perfectly. I emailed the company and they immediately responded, trying to trouble shoot and ultimately refunding my money so it was as if I had just purchased the cord, which does work for me.So as long as your 1st generation Apple pencil looks like most do, you will be thrilled with this item: high quality, beautiful, and a lovely way to always have your pencil always charged and ready at hand.(Btw if anyone understands my issue or has encountered the same please comment here!)

Great way to charge your Pencil at home or in the office
This is a nicely designed product that fulfills its purpose perfectly. The Apple Pencil is a great product, but the way Apple intends users to charge it is, for lack of a better word, "whack". No way am I plugging the Pencil straight into the end of my iPad, seems like an easy way to break TWO expensive things. Plus, the included female-to-female Lightning adapter is super easy to misplace. The TechMatte stand solves the Pencil design flaws, at least for charging at home or in the office. Just plug the stand into a powered USB connection, insert the pen vertically into the stand, and you're all set. It takes up very little room on your desk and provides a handy place to keep your Pencil cap while you're charging.Editorial "rant": Why on earth didn't Apple simply build a female Lighting connector into the top of the Pencil? Instead of including the goofy female-to-female adapter with the Pencil, they could have provided a short male-to-male cable to plug the Pencil into an iPad. It's almost like charging the Pencil was an afterthought to the design team.

A good product
When I first received it I thought it was too big. But I have since decided it is a good size and weight. I had been using a simple cable to charge the pencil. The cap of the pencil and the end of the cable on the pencil were always moving around on my desk. Now I always know exactly where are the pencil and cap. It is now a simple one handed operation to plug and unplug. Unplugging is easy with my little finger tip placed on top of the cylinder to keep it from rising. I have had no problems with charging. The only problem I have is the intersection of the cap hemispheric area to the cylinder shaped area goes too far down into the keeper hole. I cannot pull it out with two fingers. I tried dropping both ends in first. The hemispherical end first and it goes down even farther. Yet it is fast enough to pick up the entire system to shake it out at the end of a session. I solved that by dropping down the hole a rolled strip of paper. It lifts the cap enough I can grab it easily. Now I am enjoying it completely.

Good value for the $
I ordered this charger because I like to charge my iPad and iPad pencil at the same time which gets complicated when one has trouble finding their adapter for charging their Apple pen separately. Moreover, I always worried about loosing the cap for my iPen when charging it. When this charger originally arrived, I loved it! It worked really well! Unfortunately though, after using it twice it stopped working. I was quite disappointed, but was easily able to exchange it for a new one. I’ve been using the newer one for a couple of weeks and it continues to work very well. My iPen gets recharged quickly and I don’t have to worry about loosing the cap since there is a handy place to store it while I am charging my pen. I also like that I have a designated place to charge my iPen instead of having it simply later on my desk.I gave this charger 4 stars mostly because the first one I received stopped working after only 1-2 uses, and secondly because I don’t think I would want to take this on the road if I was traveling as I worry that the cord would get damaged. When I travel I will just have to charge it through my iPad.

Excellent accessory! Looks good, works great!
This is a great accessory for the Apple Pencil. While there are other ways to charge the Pencil, this is a good-looking product that can both charge it and store it. I debated getting a simple dock without charging capabilities, but decided I might as well go "all the way". The dock helps to keep the Pencil from rolling off the desk, getting lost or getting in the way. The product has a nice heft and quality feel to it. I appreciate that it includes an integrated cable. I also appreciate that you can store the top of the pencil in the dock while it is charging. Looking at the product pictures, I realized that it's important to store the cap upside down. The reason is that it's virtually impossible to remove the cap with your fingers. However, all you need to do is pull out the pencil and, while the cap is in the recess on the dock, just insert the end of the pencil into the cap to easily extract it.

Nice place to charge and store the pencil.
This is a great charging port for the pencil. You can also use it to just hold the pencil even when not charging. This may just be a pencil charger/holder but the details are well thought out. It looks good and it feels solid. It has a little weight to it which I like. So much better than plugging it in and just having it lying there or having it stick out of your iPad. The cord is about 4 and a half feet long, which is nice and it appears that you could replace it if you needed to for some reason. It functions, it gives you place to put the cap, it looks good, the price seems right and it works. I'll update the review if I have any issues with it, but with a year warranty I feel confident I won't have any problems. If you like the way it looks then you should buy it.

Stopped Working in Two Months - Check the Many same reviews
In my opinion, it is an inferior product. It suddenly ceased to work after two months of infrequent use! I used USB charger. Do not buy it, you waste both your money and time
