First, I was disappointed the case sent me was orange, not the pretty blue they chose to show. The product description should have said, "Colors vary, no choice in color."Secondly, while the store eggs fit OK, the eggs from my neighbor's chickens do not.So while I was not pleased with this product, you may not find either of these things to be a problem.

I own the yellow 12 egg carrier you see in all the stores. It breaks my eggs because of the little plastic things in each socket are too hard, sharp, and protrude too far up out of the cavity. Even though when compared side by side this egg carrier appears to have less overall room in the sockets, it only has little nubs that protrude into the socket to steady the eggs. This means I can put even the biggest of my eggs into it without crushing them.

Same problem as many egg holders. The plastic tab that keeps it closed is flimsy. Bought this to hold grandson's plastic puzzle eggs. Too hard for him to open and doesn't lay flat. Probably fine for the purpose intended (hiking) but not a solution to a toy problem.

Just received haven't used yet, but I suspect it will be great!!
