Shaker Pegs 3-1/2 Inch 1/2 Tenon Package of 35 by WOODNSHOP

I used these to make a beautiful Shaker style pegboard. Just a 1/4 piece of lumber (I used cherry because it is traditional and looks gorgeous) with a peg every 6 inches. Mount it 2/3 of the way up the wall - incredibly useful and beautiful. Anyway, these pegs were perfect for it. I drilled 1/2 inch holes on my drill press, using a Forstner bit so the hole would be nice and clean. The pegs went in very tight - some of them I had to gently pound in by covering the tip with several layers of rags and leather and then pounding gently with a mallet. I figured since they were going in so tight that I wouldn't need to glue them, but surprisingly several of them fell out when I mounted the pegboard to the wall. Should have known this would happen... I was just being lazy I guess. Anyway, I put a small amount of glue on each one and re-seated them and they are nice and tight.

Making several hat racks for my ball caps, fedoras, and helmet collection. These work extremely well!

These are pretty good pegs for a very good price, though did mistakenly think they were oak when I ordered them (which they weren't, but that wasn't a big deal).

Great price for basic pegs. Be aware, the mounting pin is a bit longer than the variety you find at the big box stores, so you're Forster bit will just poke through a 1" stock

Great quality, exactly what I was looking for. Nicely sanded and consistent in size. To clarify any question about the dimensions, they are 3 9/16" overall....including the tenon. There is aprox 2 15/16" exposed after the peg is mounted. The tenon is 5/8" deep and slightly tapered to fit snugly in a 1/2" hole.

I used these to make a shoe hanger to keep by our door. These worked perfectly. They were all uniform and have held up nicely to the abuse given them by our family of 5.

I bought these pegs for a Shaker style peg rail, and they worked out great. They come sanded smooth, with no fuzz or gaps in the surface. They also have a nice visible grain that adds to their appearance.

These are nice and smoothly sanded and finished. All are of equal size, shape and color.
