Works really well!!! I love this thing!
I purchased this to use in my gallery. We are often filling small nail holes and occasionally need to add a bit of paint over the spackle. Unfortunately, since it's a pain to take out the paint and a brush, people don't always do this and we end up having noticeable spots on the wall where you can see patches. So, I wanted an easy way for the artists to touch up after filling a hole. This thing works perfectly for that! I was worried the paint might dry out inside, but you have to twist it to open it to use it so it stays sealed when not in use (if you twist it shut -- very important). Also, once you do close it, it's easy to then wash off the roller part so that it the paint doesn't dry and harden there. We've used it a few times and the roller works well (I have reminded everyone that they must clean it really well after each use.I should mention that the bottom part that holds the paint is soft rubber (not plastic) so it's easy to squeeze out paint when you are using it without worrying that you are going to crack and break it. It doesn't put out a lot of paint, just enough to cover the roller so you can paint it on. And the texture is similar to a large paint roller with a fine nap so it blends well on the wall and doesn't leave streaks like a brush can.Now we have a simple way to do small touch ups when we change out a show. This little thing has been so useful and everyone loves it. In fact, several of my artists have ordered one for themselves to keep at home for touch-ups. I definitely recommend it. We've only been using it for a month or so but I'll update my review if anything changes. For the price, if we had to buy a new one every six months or so, it would be totally worth it.

Need one for every room in the house!
Perfect for quick touchups around the house! I fill mine with leftover paint during the painting process and then store it in the same room that was painted if possible (such as under the kitchen sink). This way if I see a mark I cannot clean off the wall, I grab my Shur-Line, roll it on, clean the roller & put it back for next time. This is my 2nd Shur-Line Touch Up Painter and I like the changes to this new model while still keeping some of the best features of the old.- Easy to use quickly when you need a touch up- Easy to clean afterwards- Stands up while filling (old one required either two people or propping it up in something else while you poured in the leftover paint)- See through bottom so that you can tell at a glance what color & how much remains.- No longer shaped strangely (my Mom thought the old one was a dildo!)Though I still gave it 5 stars, I do wish it came with a lid as the old one did. Not really a necessity with the new design so I understand why it was removed. It also seemed to hold less paint than the old one though I did not do a full compare. Either way it is probably more paint than I will ever use as touchups.I will be buying more!

A handy way to store touch-up paint
These touchup painters are a convenient way to store paint for touchups without having to open a sealed can, find a brush, and then clean up the mess. this simple tool does it all in a single package. The roller is easily removed and cleaned. The painter features a simple twist to open and close access to the paint.I bought one for each of the main paint colors in our home.

Great touch up painter, better than a paintbrush.
The media could not be loaded. The first time you use this touch up painter, you probably won't like it. There is a learning curve to use this properly, and I highly recommend using a drop cloth. After you get the hang of it, you will love this product. The instructions say to squeeze the bottle a little bit to push the paint onto the roller, but I do not recommend this. Just the actual motion of a bottle of moving up and down will cause the paint to come out onto the roller. I like using this a lot better than a paintbrush because there are no paint brush strokes on the wall; after you touch something up. Highly recommend this product after you learn how to use it. The instructions also recommend to get the paint on the roller for the first time- to roll it on a newspaper. Do not recommend this. Because you're getting ink from the newspaper onto the roller head. I just used a plastic throw-away drip pan to get the roller paint onto the roller.

Great concept, but leaks
Very easy to fill, and use, also easy to clean. My only complaint is that the area where the paint comes out is too far from the roller, which causes it to pool underneath the roller, and leak out onto the floor as you're using it. I had to continuously alternate between the "paint" and "store" functions as I was using it, to control the amount of paint coming out.

So impressive!
I first filled this touch up roller in April 2024. I had excess paint so “sealed” it and stuck it on my laundry room utility closet. It’s now April 2025 and I pulled it out today to touch up a slight paint chip. Lo and behold, the paint was still in tact and glided onto my wall without issue. One year of the paint sitting in this little device and it’s still good! So convenient. So impressed!

Awesome
Love this product. I also plan to give it as a gift to my finicky relatives that can't endure scuffed paint on the walls. I bought 3 of them and filled them with the 3 colors we used for our main floor. I placed them in zip lock bags and put them in a container along with the extra roller heads I ordered. One week after receiving them, I had to use one due a chair getting knocked against our dark gray wall. It worked very well and paint roller cleaned up nicely. The bottles aren't very big and only hold 1/2 c of paint, or so, but that's fine.

Not worth a nickel
Really just nothing good to say about it. I was excited to use for touch ups but it was a waste of time and the paint I put into it. Almost impossible to get any paint out of it and the roller is so thin and cheap that you're better off using a Q-tip to paint your wall. Complete waste of money.
