Veetee Dine In Rice - Microwavable Chicken Flavor Long Grain Rice 9.9 oz - Pack of 6

Okay, let’s start this off with a short version. I like the quality of the product, but hate the flavor. Will order again with the white rice option.Now for some additional detail. This product is VERY similar in quality to boil-in-bag rice or pre-packaged frozen entrees. Not the softest rice, not perfectly cooked, but close to the quality of Chinese takeout rice. For this type of “expected” quality from not-fresh rice, with the benefit of the 2 minute no-mess cook time and shelf stability instead of freezing, I call this product a win. As I said in the condensed version, I am by no means a fan of the chicken flavor due to personal preference, but I will be buying a plain white rice variety.

I have purchased just about all of the varieties of rice available. I have my favorites, but all are pretty good.Quick, convenient, and better quality than one might expect. The issue I have is that I rarely get the kind I order. I order Basmati, I get brown rice and quinoa. Honestly, you have about a one in three chance of getting the variety you ordered. I cancelled my subscribe and save for this reason.

Both of my kids, who love rice normally, thought this tasted inedible. I threw away the whole set uneaten. I tasted a bit and it just didn't taste great. A very strong flavor, and not in a good way. Maybe if diluted with some plain rice, but then that kind of defeats the purpose.I'll stick with unflavored packaged pre-made rice from now on.

I consider this an excellent choice of rice since I used to buy Uncle B**. This doesn't have as much but it cooks up just right. I will probably be buying more.

I'd give 5 stars if my review was only about the flavor but since the price is too high I'm giving 4 stars instead. As far as the flavor, this is delicious! I really love it!!!
