Self Drilling Drywall Plastic Anchors with Screws Kit (20 Pack)

I've been using these for years, and trust them for the wall hangers for my guitars, big flat screen TVs, heavy picture frames, closet clothes rod supports, full length mirrors, and etc. Basically anything relatively heavy that needs to go on a sheetrock wall, or for anything valuable that I want to be sure won't come loose and fall and break on the floor.I've never had one of these anchors come loose and pull out of the wall. They grip the wall much more robustly than the non-threaded kind of anchors that you just pop in with a hammer.Some tips:Although they are self-drilling, I prefer to punch a starter hole with a small phillips screwdriver first and then screw in the anchor, as this guarantees a more accurate placement by preventing the anchor from wandering a bit during the initial penetration into the wall.Also, I prefer to use a cordless screwdriver rather than a corded drill to screw them into the wall, because if the drill is too powerful or fast it might screw the anchor in too far and / or strip the threads that the anchor cuts into the sheetrock.

I just don't understand how these anchors can get negative reviews. I think they work just great, at least for my application. I had one of those closet maid metal shelving bracket fail. It was due to no screws being placed on the stud, also they used the cheap grey anchors that come with the shelving unit. I would not make the same mistake.Here is what I did. First I took a nail and nailed it in to the drywall about 1/4 of an inch, making sure that the nail was driven STRAIGHT. Then with an El Cheapo screwdriver (one of those 4 in one HF jobs with the blue handle- using the thicker Phillips size) I drove the anchor into the drywall straight until I could fill it "bite" into the drywall and dig in. You could probably use a drill but since I only had 5 anchors I was too lazy to go to the garage and dig out my power tool. I would recommend using the lowest setting if using a power drill. Once it is all the way in, then move on to the next one. It helps to use a chalk line to keep all your anchors straight and true. I will be using these when I get around to building some floating shelves. I will use two screws in the studs, and two more anchor screws to give the shelves plenty of stability.

I live in a building that was built in the fifties or sixties. My shower curtain rod on one end got very loose and I tried to glue it back, but that failed miserably. The white wall anchor was much stronger than I anticipated and was easy to install (if the hole is a little too loose, you can get the WetNFix discs designed for crumbly walls (to make a more secure fit, which I also bought and used.) It only took about 10 minutes to install. Now my shower curtain rod is sturdily in place. I recommend the Toofix Self Drilling Drywall Anchor Kit...it's quick and easy.♥

The phillips insert for the anchors is a bit weak, which caused me to strip a couple of them while driving them into the wall. It was a small amount, and other than that these are working great and were easy to use. Would definitely buy again.

Nothing unusual about these…same as at a Big Box store. They really dig through the drywall quickly and provide a solid anchor.

I liked the product, well made, they do not distort, easy placement, and very strong when in place. I used it to hang multiple shelves, and a TV .

I use these to mount my surge protector and they seem to be working great.

I've used three of these to hang various things around my apartment. All are well under 50 lbs, so I have not fully tested their weight bearing capacity. But so far, they've been in the wall for ~ 3 months and have served their purpose, and I don't anticipate any issues.These can be hand screwed in, but if you need it in a very precise, measured spot, it is probably best to use a drill to create a pilot hole. This is because it does require a significant force to drive them in, and doing this by hand may cause the screw to move just a little bit without you noticing. You DO NOT want to have to re-do these as you'll be stuck with a significant hole in your wall, and that hole may disrupt the integrity of the wall making it difficult to place another within an inch or so of the old hole.
