My niece stuck a broom into the 42-in fan destroying one of the blade-holders so we looked for an alternative (however the bearings were going-out). It seemed more-economical and easier to replace the fan than try to access the bearings and replace the blade-holder. This fan wasn’t the cheapest, but it looked elegant and well-made and had a good sell-price. For me it was a 4-hr job standing on the bed and a step-stool and tightening all the parts as well as connecting the wire-nuts to the existing wire. What makes it take so long is trying to get the right angle on the screws when driving them in above your head. I had to take short-breaks from muscle-fatigue. However, I was proud with the results and the high-setting feels like a heavenly-breeze. I still feel a since of pride from installing the fan when I pass that room and sometimes I will lay on the bed in the dark and appreciate the cool, quiet, relaxing-breeze.

All Hunter fans are excellent. If you've ever installed a fan previously, you'll know that this will take about 20-40 minutes to do. If you've never done one before, double the time. That said, the instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. As for the quality, it truly is whisper quiet and is an excellent addition to our home.

We have this fan installed in the bedroom. it is very quiet, can't even hear the motor on high speed. Gives a very nice breeze, great on warm summer nights. My husband installed it with no problems, we are extremely pleased with this fan. Hunter fans are the best.

Instructions are easy to follow and attaching the unit to the ceiling connector is so much better than other models that require you to hang it from a wire until wiring is done. I have installed three Hunter ceiling fans and there has never been a situation where the fans are unbalanced. Operates quietly at all speeds.

I have had it for quite a long time now and waited for quite a long time to post a review because ceiling fans can often get "wonky" after they're installed for a while. I have had absolutely no problem with mine. I changed out the globes and the pulls, as you can see, and I use GE Color Changing Dimmable remote controlled light bulbs in it. The blades are very easy to clean with a damp cloth and the fan is very pleasant to look at and not at all intrusive in a small kitchen. It is extremely quiet, as you can hear (it actually makes no sound at all... the sound that you hear is coming from the furnace cold air return that I'm standing right next to by the kitchen). I am very pleased with my purchase.
