I'm giving this 3 stars because it appears as described, was delivered promptly and the really good thing about the machine is that it came with a spare belt, because the first one broke within a week of use. The machine, even though I followed the directions exactly, didn't result in much of a polished product. I was trying to polish up my Michigan Petoskey stones, but they're almost as dull as before I started the process. Oh well.

this is a great little tool! I have used it constantly since I got it. The tiger eye gems came out very pretty

Well, didn't last more than 1 month plastic bushings gave out on step 3 for polishing 3 stones with 1 lb. Media, should have just bought something better.

My unit breaks the drive belt at least once a week. Adjusting the tension is difficult. You cannot leave it for any length of time. When a tiny bit of oil is used to lubricate end bearings, the oil gets onto the spinning bar and causes the plastic overlay not to spin with the rod. When it works this is a very good tumbler - but the frequent down times nets it only three stars.
