Franke Sirius S2D651CB 1.5 Bowl Tectonite Reversible Carbon Black Kitchen Sink

This is a big step up in quality and weight compared to the entry level ~5kg composite sinks. Has a much smoother finish and decent weight at 10 kg. Still not quite a stone like finish but you would have to pay a lot more I suspect. The fittings overall are better than the standard DIY store fittings but it does push the waste pipe to the back (or front) of the sink so you will have to take that into account if replacing a single bowl sink for example. There isn't a lot of room around the tap hole so some taps will be harder to mount than others. The screws supplied with the clips didn't quite match the mounting bosses underneath so I had to drill them a bit more to tighten the clips but not a big issue.

This is the second Franke Tectonite sink I have installed. The previous one was in grey. They are superb sinks and look very good. I much prefer these to a stainless steel. The 1.5 is so practical. We ordered a 1.0 but returned it to the supplier, Nestar Ltd and reordered the 1.5 from them after we did a redesign and realised we could install the slightly bigger model. Recommended.

Love the sink looks great just what I wanted. The bowl is large and deep so make sure you have the under unit space for it. Plumber installed it and found some of the fittings didn’t work with my exiting plumbing set up so had to do a workaround but all worked out.

Was a top quality sink but unfortunately had to return as it did not fit our already existing marble work surfaceWanted to swap like for likeIt was a straight forward returns policy

The sink itself is very good, but the instructions for fitting the sinks pipework are useless. I think the connections are of German standard and are not very compatible with UK fittings

This composited material is very easily getting scratch marks under normal use in just couple days....The company provides no solution, so frustrating...

I’ve had Franke sinks before and they lasted well, came to install this one and the drainage instructions weren’t clear and couldn’t find anything online, managed to find a lady with the same sink on instagram who kindly send me a picture of how hers was plumbed in then we worked it out, if yours is the same the 90o bend on the main sink is turned the wrong way in manufacturing and it doesn’t feel like it moves but wiggle it a bit and it’s stiff but it will move round so the pipes line up as in the diagramHope this helps
