Very toxic and not worse the money
I have an old house and I had no insulation at all, so I ordered 602 Slow Rise kit to fill the emptiness between the walls.3 things that are wrong with this product1. You will never fill the entire gap, and if you missed spots the wall will be cold in those places, and you cannot redo it. I spoke with professionals, and even they said it's almost impossible to fill it our 100%, that is why professional almost never do injections with spray foam. I did mine and I can tell you the job is NOT GOOD. I wish I wound't not do that.I know it looks good on their video, but you will NEVER, repeat NEVER get this results.2. On their site "Sq/f calculator is based on 1" thickness, turns out I have 4", so to insulate the house with this product is not realistic.(this my mistake, but just wanted to bring it up, so you will be aware of this too)3. I did not like how it insulated the wall that I did, so I started doing research for alternatives and found out that this spray foam is EXTREMELY TOXIC, read this[...]I wish I knew that before I bought it, I was spraying with my wife and 3 year old kid in the house (on a different floor of course, but in the house), even worse I did not know that 'sanding' is the same TOXIC as when you were applying the spay, their instructions doesn't warn you about any of it.At the end I went with cellulose, it covered all 4" 100% dense, it costed me 4 times cheaper, and are you ready? that is with professional installation, not by me.Just wanted to share it so people will not make mistakes that I did.

Three Stars
Great product, but expensive and takes about 6 to do a small house.

Great product but Installation is very tricky
I used this product in the exterior walls of my 1956 Rambler style home. If you follow the directions literally, including temperature and speed, it flows well. I have plaster walls inside and the sheathing for the exterior is built rite, with light fiberglass batting in the walls that half filled the walls. One problem I had was pushing the tubing into the walls. It would go through the paper of the fiberglass batting. The foam sticks to the paper, fiberglass and the hose, causing the foam to glob at the end of the hose if you don't wipe it off at the end of every application (every hole). Lots of extra hose. With the presence of other insullation in the wall, it is impossible to tell if the void is completely filled but you'll get close if you don't rush. The other problem was, I used their calculation for the quantity ordered. I had 25% left after completion and it definitely is NOT cost effective to try to return it. There are extra fees and shipping costs that are very expensive. Found someone on Craig's list who could use it, so dodged a bullet there.Overall, I am happy with the Foam It Green 602 product, the street noise and drafts in the house are greatly reduced and I have already seen a reduction in energy costs.12/22018After a few years, I do have some cold spots in the walls, presumeably from the walls not being completely filled with foam, due to pre-existing insulation before the foam application.

don't waste your money
I saw the video and read the instruction how to use it. Thinking that I will save money by doing it myself. Big mistake. I ended up spending more than if I would have hired a professional to do it. The foam doesn't come out smooth or well cover like the professional especially on the ceiling. This lead to gap and air space which can easily pull down. It also meants it's not airtight like it supposed to. Make it worse you end up a lot of waste because some tank has more air pressure than the others, so you will use up one tank and the other still has the solution. I ended up with wasting my time, money, headache, and a bad quality product. guess what, you don't have the guarantee for the work either. Don't make the same mistake that I made. Stay away from it.

) The instructions are easy to understand
I bought the kit for its sealing properties, not insulation, as I'm building a cigar room in the basement. I wanted a means to limit the amount of odor and smoke that might waft up into the rest of the house. Cara was a tremendous help in their customer service. When I got to starting, I found a problem with one of the tanks. Two phone calls and two pictures later, I had a fresh replacement on the way. Again, this is indicative of exemplary customer service. The kit works exactly as advertised. Stay busy, stay focused, and changing tips is a rare thing. (I only had to change once.) The instructions are easy to understand, and the "don't do this" suggestions make for as error proof a project as you can have. Whatever size Tyvek suit you think you need, order a size larger. My use may be different than yours, but this is a great product. "Red and blue make green!"

Amazing Product! Easy to use!!
I am very happy with my 602 SR kit. I blind filled the wall cavity between the interior plaster and exterior brick walls of my 1910 house. I had concerns about the plaster cracking, but I did not have a single crack. Amazing!Prior to ordering, I called your help line to ask whether I should get closed or open cell. Initially, I was drawn to the open cell for the cost/yield ratio, but the person I spoke with told me how open cell could hold water and would not be a vapor barrier. She recommended closed cell which would prevent condensation inside the walls. Plus, it has a higher R-value. I appreciated her knowledgeable answer and ordered my kit on the same call. The directions that came with it and their website were very detailed. If you follow the directions like ensuring the tanks are at the right temp, the surface you are spraying is the right temp, shaking the tanks prior to use, etc you will get perfect results. This was actually my third kit. Every time I finish a kit, I get a good feeling that next month's utility bill will be a little lower. This is a great investment. Spray Foam is the BEST insulation you can use. It is far superior to fiberglass and cellulose.
