Great book which logically guides you through the IC-705. The Icom manuals can be somewhat lacking and Andrew's book fixes that. He takes you through the radio, explains each setting and gives recommendations for you to consider based upon your operating style. Well worth the purchase!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This book clearly explains really complicated operations on the IC-705 radio and provides obviously tested step by step directions that includes resulting displays. I spiral bound it so it can lie flat. The radio comes with a manual but this book is the manual I need. One example: I needed to set up the radio as a wifi access point. The manual for the radio shows that it can be done. The book actually showed me how to do it and confirm that it was done right. The book is worth every penny.

I owned my IC-705 for about a year prior to purchasing this book. I would have saved myself a lot of time and frustration if I would have purchased it sooner. The content is thorough and easy to understand. It touches on all of the functions of the radio so you can use it to the fullest. Many of the questions I see asked online from operators around the world are answered in this book. This book is an invaluable resource.

This is a comprehensive guide for this wonderful transceiver. Seems to cover everything and I find myself reaching for this first with any ic705 questions. Are you a 705 owner? Then you need this book! I ordered the print version and the quality is Excellent. Just buy it, it will enhance your enjoyment of this radio!

This is a really good book, and I highly recommend it to learn about your IC-705.My only complaint so far is that it's a little behind in new firmware options added after it was published.And the "GLOSSARY" is very poor, so it's hard to find items in the book looking for them in the glossary.But, still highly recommended.

Well written, honest and informative, and a great addition to my "Radio Kindle Library". I've bought two other books in this series (IC-7300 and IC-9700) and they are all great works. LOTS of cool tips and tricks for the IC-705.Totally recommended.

This is a very informative book which covers all aspects of the 705 thoroughly.There is not anything that I can think of which is not covered.I don't know of any other book you can purchase that gives you any more information.If you have the 705, you need to get this book and you will not be disappointed.

The guide is well written and you can find out how to do things, rather than just being a reference to the settings menu. The major minus point is that the front and rear outer pages are on the same thin paper as used internally, and tend to curl up. Probably printed by a using a low volume publishing company who use the same lightweight paper throughout.
