Can't wait for the bees to arrive in my greenhouse!

We have a large, well planted property and are not having any luck with getting bees or butterflies.

I get more wasps than bees, sadly ):

I was gifted with not one but two of these at Christmas, and I couldn't be more pleased. If, like me, you're interested in encouraging more beneficial insects to visit your garden, a bee/bug condo is a good way to provide a safe haven for them. Encourage them to take up residence, and they'll go to work pollinating your plants and killing bad bugs season after season.This particular model is a good, solid shelter filled with drilled branch sections, bamboo tubes, wood shavings and pine cones, all of which offer attractive lodgings to many different varieties of insect. They should be placed in an area with adequate sun, but to be sure you've got the right spot, I'd suggest you do a little research online before you start putting nails in your outer walls. Provide a bit of water -- again, do a bit of research about how best to present it to your new tenants -- and know that you've got allies in your garden.Something like this could provide a lot of teaching moments for both you and your kids. Who knows, it might provoke you to build your own, larger critter shelter, and that would be all to the good.

This item surpassed my expectations. Sturdy craftsmanship, and decent materials resulted in a product much more adorable than pictured. I purchased this item as a gift, so it hasn't been insect tested in the garden yet, but I have high hopes. I recommend hanging in a covered/protected location as one of the levels is full of sawdust and you wouldn't want that to get rained on and mildew.
