I love the size and the weight of this saw and it has got all the functions like the large saws. I generally possess Bosh power tools accordingly to my Sortimo set up, unfortunately actually only Makita realised this size saw at the moment, so I have got it as I desperately needed one and I'm 100% satisfied. This saw also cuts more then 95mm of width if you set the adjusting bolt to maximum, however for longer term I would not recommend to drop the saw lower to cut wider because the blade guard touches the base of the saw.

2nd fix Carpentry, especially spindles , door stops , architraves .....Will just about do 4 inch skirting , light weight and so what it's only a 1 battery machine if all the rest of your kit is Makita then you will have plenty of batteries , just had to fit curtain battens 126 flats worth and it was so easy , you can literally lift it up with your little finger , little light is handy but don't bother with the laser can't see the point in that .

Having the laser and spotlight is a great addition especially in darker environments. I’ve used it to cut 6x2 timbers which it can’t do in one go so have to turn the timber over. The laser makes it easy to get the two cuts to look like one. Battery life using 4AH is pretty good as well. A DIY enthusiasts bit of kit.
