The book contains magnificent photos of magnificent trees.

This book was a gift which was well-received! The recipient commented that it brought tears to her eyes and was everything she could have hoped for in this book about trees....superb photos, great writing.

Needed more color photos

Moon's work is extraordinary. What people may not know about the images is how she got them. The treacherous travel to get there. Her work is brilliant. My only complaint is that the reproductions could have been slightly better.

Some have been part of their landscape and peoples' spiritual culture for over1,200 years so they play an essential part in their environment.This book is an important record at a time when climate change is threatening these magnificent trees.

Beth Moon's travel diary and images of the people and villages add so much to this book of amazing trees, photographed beautifully. There is a strong emotional connection to her journeys and love of the trees, so much more than just a book of photographs. Highly recommended.
