Energy Lab for Kids: 40 Exciting Experiments to Explore, Create, Harnes

Excellent book with lots of experiments, pictures and explanations. Each experiment offers clear instruction on how to perform the experiment with clear photographic directions and a time on how long each experiment should take. Excellent for teachers. A teacher at our school requested this book and after seeing it I decided to buy a second one for myself to perform some of the experiments with my Girl Scouts and kids. It covers energy basics, forms of energy and transformations, renewable and non renewable energy sources, using energy and saving energy. The photos with each experiment show actual kids doing the experiments. Pretty much all of the experiments are performed using materials you would have readily available in your home. I think the only thing I struggled with was having more than one digital thermometer and having copper wire which is required for a couple of the experiments. Most experiments take about 30 minutes . The longest takes only 30 minutes to set up but 2 weeks to see final results. Would definitely recommend.

These books are so fun! I love them all. We use them for homeschooling.

great information but be aware that you still gotta go and buy most of the items and sacrifice a pot or two
