I was a child who grew up in poverty Detroit. Even then I would notice the intricate details and hidden beauty in my city. I am glad this book is created. It’s very validating to what I felt as a child and the images are truly captivating.i believe this book shows a lot of the history, mysteries, beauty and spirituality in the city of Detroit. I also feel this book is well researched and worth the price.

Guardians of Detroit is a unique take on an architecture coffee table book. It contains an endlessly fascinating montage of gargoyles and other sculptures designed into retro gothic style buildings. The perfectly shot photos are accompanied by interesting tidbit about the history of the buildings

This is a reminder of what a great city Detroit is not was is excellent photos crisp photos that are pieces of art in themselves. A great book not just for Motown lovers but all those who love architecture and the urban space!! But this book!

This is an excellent book. The photographs are amazing and the information is interesting. I've already given copies to people who love art and architecture.
