First I would like to say it that it works; It brought an old computer back to life so at the end of the day the CPU did what it was supposed to. That being the class, why did I give this item a 3/5? Two words, BENT PINS!!! Holy heck was that an unpleasant surprise, I didn't expect that from what seemed like a reputable seller. After my initial failure to detect any bent pins, I took a second look and didn't see any; very well hidden. It took a third detailed look at every single pin 1 by 1 to discover the problem. Not 1 bent pin but 5, at two separate areas of the processor. So after weighing my options of getting a refund or trying to bend the pins back into place I went ahead and straightened them out a little. Being very careful, I managed to bend them enough so that it the processor could be seated diagonally with the worst bent pins going in first.Okay, so it wasn't the processors fault it was damaged so I gave it a 5/5; it's working like a champ. I'd love to give the buyer a better rating but I can't based on physical shape of the processor; however, it could have been bent in transit so giving them the benefit of the doubt I won't dock them below a final 3/5 grade. At the end of the day, the processor works and I got it dirt cheap.
