I literally just finished using this straightener for the very first time about 10 minutes ago. First of all, I had a blast using it! :) It was way more fun than my regular straightener. Second of all, I can't believe how well it worked! I was super skeptical with my naturally thick, long, curly AF hair. It worked! Not only that but my hair has more volume than usual and the layers seem more defined. It looks so smooth! It has not left my hair stick-straight, which I prefer. Instead it still has life! No frizz. Was it faster than my regular straightener? No (but this was my first time). Was it easier? Maybe. More fun? YES! And it's safer! It's a lot harder to burn yourself with this thing. And supposedly its healthier for your hair! It's worth the switch.I picked this one specifically because it went up to a max temp of 450 degrees. My hair is typically very rebellious, so I knew I needed some serious heat. I would recommend it to the other curly, thick, long-haired girls out there. Anyways, I'm so glad I bought it!

I just received this product. I purchased it full price....did not receive a free or reduced price product. Would only heat to 230 degrees, so I am returning it. There are no troubleshooting instructions included and I can't find a website or any contact information for this company, so I don't know whether mine is just defective, or falsely advertised. Either way, I'm returning mine.I am amending my review of this product. Upon reading my negative review, the company promptly emailed me apologizing for sending me a defective hairbrush. They gave me a full refund and told me to keep the defective product. This morning I decided to try it even though it would only heat to 230°. I must say, it worked very well. I have very thick, frizzy hair when I allow it to air dry, and this product performs very well in about 15 minutes. I have recommended it to both of my daughters who have similar hair. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is that it will only heat to 230°. I must say, the company could not have been nicer!

My new best friend! I'm super lazy with my hair usually so this has been amazing. I have super long, super thick, naturally curly, blue hair that is damaged due to so much bleaching/dying and I can be totally straight in ten minutes. I was afraid this wouldn't work well on me but tried it anyway and so glad that I did. You HAVE to brush your hair out first. Very painful if you don't. Also, you have to take it slow and be sure to run it through the back side/underneath part of your hair too. I would recommend heat protection spray and/or a VERY SMALL amount of coconut oil (size of half of a pencil eraser end for most hair, maybe a full pencil eraser end for super thick, long hair) on the ends of your hair. Don't put it on your roots unless you're into the super greasy hair game and remember coconut oil spreads really well so seriously, don't over do it. Even with nothing though, this straightening brush gives your hair a soft and silky feel after you use it. I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Bought it for my daughter. Like the concept as it would be easier to use and a time saver compared to a flat iron, but it barely straightened her hair if at all. She has thick hair but does not have a ton of curl or wave, but it only seemed to heat her hair and not straighten significantly even when we did very small sections of hair at a time. Will be returning.

I've been using this brush for over a year and have been reasonably happy, though it definitely doesn't do as good a job as a flat iron, but is a lot faster on my thick, wavy hair, even after chemical straightening. I do have a few issues with it, though: first, it states on the box that it heats to 450 degrees, but since I first turned it on, it has not been able to register any higher than 230. Since it did an ok job, I kept it anyway, and thought maybe I would just get less damage with less intense heat. But maybe that accounts for the less than stellar performance? Also, I have noted quite a bit of breakage in my hair, especially in the front where I use it close to the scalp. I have multiple scars on my neck from inadvertent burns; I think the heavy weight and somewhat exposed heated areas and the motion required to straighten my hair underneath probably contribute to this phenomenon. Overall an ok product, but I probably won't buy this particular brand/model again.

The only thing I liked about this product was the clamp that came with it. I have been straightening my hair for years and have never had problems doing so, no matter what method I used. Not only did this brush not straighten my hair, but it also damaged the little bit that I had done. I could actually see my hair breaking as the brush went through the section of hair. I did everything that needed to be done to make sure I wouldn't have difficulty with straightening my hair: brushed out any and all tangles, made sure hair was completely dry, did small section at a time, brushed through hair slowly. It did not work. The box specifically says "for curly hair", I am hispanic with wavy hair and it did not work. I can't even imagine what it would take to get curly hair straightened. Terrible brush. I will say though, the company did send it to me very quickly. So, thumbs up on delivery.

Seriously, where has this been all my life? I thought the invention of flat irons was brilliant but this is even better -- at least for my hair. I have a lot of fine hair that is also naturally curly so it ends up frizzing at the suggestion of humidity. My hair takes a beating in NY summers as I try to force it into submission. I don't like using a flat iron every day and this brush is the answer to not frying my ends with heat. It takes mere minutes to tame the mane and get out the door. The best part is it isn't nearly as damaging as a flat iron. I still use a heat protectant. It also allows for more flexible amounts of body in the hair, which I like. Flat irons don't do that and I don't always want a super flat look. I can also let my hair dry naturally and use this to smooth it without the double-whammy of a blow out and iron. I'm very happy with this.
