I got a set of these when I started running into trouble finding all the sizes at the local stores.Price is pretty good considering you get 11 of them.Each one has a little plastic end on it to show what size and to keep the stitches from falling off of it.I wish they'd had larger sizes and not as many smaller ones - since those are so thin and more flimsy anyway.It never occurred to me that a person could do Tunisian with the thin threads but it is possible with the smaller sizes.I agree with some of the other comments that the smallest size 2 is probably one you'd have to be super careful with.Once I ordered the first set, their price point fell and I ordered a second one so we'll see how that goes, it'll be nice to have more than one size of project going at once since the yarns are so standardized here.Tip: Be careful with the smallest ones, mine came with indentations where the rubber bands were placed for shipment.All in all tho I'm glad I got them, I just wish they were from like size D or F up to as high as it goes. S I think.I'll return to update this review if anything changes.

These Tunisian hooks do the job I want them to do. They aren't fancy but I didn't expect them to be -- I'm new to Tunisian crochet, I'm not trying to crochet an afghan, and they're a great price. There aren't any jagged pieces, they work smoothly through the yarn, they're sturdy, and marked well. They're nice colors too. I have enjoyed them so far. So what if they're cheap? That's the whole point if you're not sure you're going to like the technique.If you like Tunisian crochet, buy a more expensive (and expansive) set when you get the technique. If you really hate doing Tunisian you're not out much money and can pass the hooks along to someone else, or keep them yourself and use them infrequently.

Even though I am only a beginner level crocheter, I decided I desperately needed to try tunisian crochet... as if I didn't already have enough on my plate. But... I LOVE it, so far!I was very hesitant because of the price of these hooks but they've worked out very well. I did a long visual inspection before sitting down to use them and found only a few flaws. Quality control seems to be a little bit of an issue based on other user's feedback but here's what I found with my own set...They are anodized aluminum and with my hooks, they were mostly smooth but there were two different problem spots (one of them is visible in my pic of the hook ends - the largest hook has a little problem area. I sanded it down slightly and while it's still slightly scratchy, it hasn't snagged on any yarn. The body of the hooks is all fine and smooth, no seams or chips or anything.I tugged on all of the plastic ends to test them and two fell off - I glued them back on with nail glue and they're fine now. I'm thinking of putting a layer of clear nail polish over the paint on the ends because as you can see from my pic, the paint is uneven and I do worry about the paint being worn off over time.They're not the absolute best quality, but I think they're great especially for the price - I am pretty happy with the set that I received.Since quality control might be an issue, I'd suggest anyone who gets a "bad" set (worse than mine) apply for a replacement. No need to be stuck with a bad set.

I love this set of Tunisian hooks! I had read others reviews, and was hesitant. But then I thought, go for it...price was right..GLAD I did! All the sizes, stoppers are tight, smooth, pretty strong. One review commented that they bend under the stress..not so if you don't hold them at the very end by stopper..I slip my work up the hook length as I go and it also takes the stress off my wrists and hands! With a regular set of hooks from the fabric store ( popular name brand hook set) I had burrs on them...sanded them with fine emery board and a couple coats of clear nail polish and now they are smooth. These Tunisian ARE smooth..NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER!!

I bought these because I was looking for some tunisian crochet hooks as I just learned and wanted to stop bunching up my stitches on my regular crochet hooks. Anywho before this review gets too long winded, the best part is that these hooks arrived early, before their estimated arrival date. Two days early to be exact. I order these toward the end of November. The estimated arrival date was somewhere between december 24th to januaray something. I figured the delivery date was long because of the season. I have to buy a case for them because they're longer than my regular crochet hooks and wont fit in that case. The white part on the end of one of the hooks came cracked but that was probably due to the travel. The piece was still in the bag so I just glued it back on. The aluminum is fine, not chipped or anything.

These long crotchet hooks do the trick, but I won't buy them again. They are a great price for the number of hooks you get, but thetips are not smooth on some of them. They are rough and catch the yarn as you work them through. I've actually had to file the tips on at least one so far. When I purchase more I'm considering purchasing bamboo. The wood is soft to the touch and doesn't have the incredibly cold feel of the aluminum hooks. These hooks are a great way to get started, but they are also being shipped in from China. You can expect to wait several weeks for their arrival though for me I didn't have to pay any shipping.

I purchased this set of hooks in order to learn Tunisian crochet, and the price was very reasonable. They arrived in less than a week through Amazon. I have used only one of them, the 6.0mm, and it has been fine - the yarn glides smoothly over the metal of the hook. I predict I will crochet many miles of yarn with these hooks and have a great time doing it. I plan to paint the numbers on the stops with clear nail polish to preserve them. I would recommend this set of hooks for the adventuring Tunisian crocheter.

Good quality, well made, the colours haven't rubbed off, and (given how large they are) quite lightweight.I find them so comfortable that I use them on my smaller projects too.

They were a little late in arriving, but they look like a really nice set of hooks. One hook had a couple of minor flaws, but the surface is still smooth, so I don't think that it will cause any problems when I crochet with it.
