Q: Is this product worth buying for my hard drive??

It depends: if for some reason you wanted/needed to color-code your drives (beyond what is possible by simply selecting different case colors), then this is an additional option. However, if it's going to be largely sedentary (as mine will be on my XBox One), then no, it's not worth it. I was under the impression I "needed" one of these for the USB 3.0 cable, only to discover the drive had one shipped with it. So now I have a grayish-purple bumper and a spare cable. Woo-hoo, yay me. tl;dr Don't bother unless you really want it.

it will fit the 2TB My Passport drive. You need to confirm the dimensions for the WD element.

yes, I have them on mine. the only thing is the drive light does not quite line up but you can see the light if you need to though the material
