While children do not necessarily need a small pillow to sleep on - what makes this great is that you can easily put it in the washing machine with other clothes and what not. Bigger pillows sometimes do not get as clean and this one will because of its smaller size in line to the size of your washing cycle. It is made out of very soft cotton and also made in the USA. The cost is fair, although I would expect it to be a little less expensive considering its smaller size and no cover provided. The baby pillow from Sleepy Kiddie is 18 inches long, 13 inches wide and about 3 ½ inches tall. The pillow is soft, springy, and covered with soft 100% organic cotton sateen, off white material. The pillow feels like it is filled with the polyester cluster fiber, it’s very soft, springy and I would say it’s a medium firmness. I love that the pillow is made here in the USA, from 100% soft cotton, it’s hypoallergenic, filled with kid safe polyester cluster fiber and that it’s machine washable. I purchased the Sleepy Kiddie pillow for my 12 month old grandson to use when he stays over. He had never used a pillow before so I was a little worried that he wouldn’t want to use it. He seems to really like it; at first he played with it, but once he got used to it I slipped it under his head as he was dozing off. So far he’s slept on it about a dozen times and really seems to like it.I’m so glad that I purchased the toddler pillow for him; it’s just the right size not so big that I worry about it covering his face because it’s light enough for him to knock it off if ever that happened. It’s a good first small pillow for toddlers, until they graduate to the larger pillows.

I ordered this pillow to take on car trips with me. I always fall asleep when I'm the passenger (always! without fail even if I'm trying not to) and I thought this would make it a little more comfortable. Of course it arrived right before a day trip to Houston and I forgot it, but I'm still getting a lot of use out of it at home anyway. It is the perfect size for a travel pillow ­ it is a bit bulkier than the neck pillows you see on airplanes a lot, so I probably wouldn't fly with it but it's going to be great for the car. It is very soft, although it is a little flatter than I was expecting. That is the only minor complaint I have though. Since I blew my recent chance to use it for travel I've been testing it out at home and I really like using it in bed when I want to read ­ I lie on my back so I put this pillow on my stomach and rest the book on top. It raises the book up at just the right height for comfortable reading. I've also used it for lounging on the couch ­ it's a good little lumbar support, and also good for catnaps. Since it's a small pillow I'm going to have to make a special cover for it, but I sew so that's not a problem for me. Overall I'm very happy with it ­ and I know I'll use it a lot (even if I keep forgetting it for the car!)Disclosure: I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion.

These are very very nice! I'm the type (ok, aren't we all really?) that loves that fluffy hotel pillow feeling when I lie down. Now, I figure my son might like a few of these to snuggle around the house with. The true test will be longevity and since I've only had it a short while now it's hard to know how that will go.
