VIVA TENS (OTC) PAIN RELIEF TENS UNIT NON PRESCRIPTION WITH LOW BACK BELT

This is my 3rd of 3 different brands of tens back pain relief belts, and I like this one the best. The unit provides strong enough pulses, and my last one did not even with new batteries. I love the "continuous" time setting on this one so I don't have to fumble to reset it all day long. I also love that this controller can be clipped to my regular belt next to my cell phone so that I can easily access it when I don't want to use it continuously. The metal contact buttons on both my first & 2nd belts eventually got some sort of oxidation on 1 or more of them, and even new gel pads did not work as well as they had when the units were new, so I replaced the belts. I am thrilled to tell U that I ordered this on Thursday evening from the mid-Atlantic after church on Maundy Thursday, and even with standard shipping, this belt arrived on the Monday after Easter! I ordered other items at the same time that have not yet arrived--and it is now Wednesday. I am very pleased with this unit, and I highly recommend it.I came back about 12 hrs later to edit this review bc I had taken the belt off before reviewing after the 60-min cycle completed. When I went to put it on again in the evening, the brand new battery was dead bc I had not turned the 2 switches off. On my 2 previous belts, when the cycle ended, the belt turned off and did not drain the battery. Apparently U have to remember to turn both of the switches off with this unit or it will drain the battery.

This item is poorly designed does not go on and works like it should . The belt itself isn't secure and loose. I would think twice about making this purchase .

ABSOLUTE JUNK..... This is something my mother-in-law want to help with back pain. I sent several correspondence to seller but keep getting the "we've I'm been waiting on the manufacturer" sympathic talk.I'm still waiting for the return credit for item I sent back on June 10, 2016....today is July 15.ABSOLUTELY JUNK. Don't waste your money or anything sold by VIVA TEND (OTC).

This was a replacement for a similar belt I had used for a decade and could no longer get needed accessories. The new belt arrived quickly. When I first tried it out I did not use the battery that came in the package. It is "super duty", which is typical. I have a supply of Duracell alkaline so I used one of those instead, because these systems use up batteries quickly if you use them a lot. Mistake on my part. The controller was sending out variable pulses of varying intensity no matter the mode setting. I emailed the vendor last Sunday morning asking for a replacement controller. Within 10 minutes (on a Sunday morning!) I had a response telling me to change the battery. I inserted the battery that came with the unit and it worked perfectly and continues to do so. They advised me that Duracell alkallne batteries don't work well in some systems. So, customer service gets 5 stars. The battery quirk really didn't affect why I gave only 4 stars, but the fact that it is not a rechargeable controller knocks this down a peg.I would recommend this product, it is a good value. But get a battery charger and a couple of 9V rechargeable batteries if you intend to use this regularly.One thing I really like is that you can be pretty mobile with the belt on. The stim pad design makes the difference because they are not "snap on", but have a large area of conductive film making contact with the electrode contact on the belt. This is better than other products I have used.I would recommend this product.
