Good follow on story
While the story is a good follow on story to the first story. I was a little disappointed with the grammatical errors I found in the story. While the story started out a little slow, iced quickly and it was understandable that the author needed to start the story the way he did, in order to set up the rest of the story. Even with the grammatical errers, it was still a very good story to read

Just book 1 rewritten
With the exception of Penny’s backstory at the beginning and the expected climatic ending this is just a repeat of book 1, just mostly told by Penny. IMHO it certainly is NOT worth being the same price as book 1.The author’s obvious political views detract from the story

Very good read
I found this book a very good read . It starts out a little slow setting up the story. But with a story like this the time taken is well worth it. You get to know the character and what motivates him. You get to develop empathy for his loss and understand his motivation for selling his home and retiring. He brings mystery and intrigued to the story and wraps it up with a nice endind.

Well worth your time.
Rick Williams is a widower, recently retired police detective and nudist who trades his home for an RV. Williams visits some nudist resorts before settling into the job of Chief of Police in a nudist city that is being developed. Williams discovers that his son Marcus and wife Ashley are curious about being nudist. Marcus’s friend Andy and wife Sheri are nudist and had been prodding Marcus and Ashley to join them at a Phoenix are nudist resort. Williams, the Marcus family and Andy family spend a nude three day weekend. Marcus, Ashley and their kids are instant converts.Williams reports for duty at the nudist city- Paradise on Earth (POE). He meets a young lady and a relationship develops. William’s grandchildren stay with him after Marcus & Ashley return home for work after spending the July 4 weekend at POE. Suddenly the story picks up speed with exciting and surprising plot turns that shouldn’t be spoiled here.Author Jacob Drake gives an accurate description of the nudist lifestyle while weaving an entertaining story that moves at a good pace with has solid character development. This book is worth your time to read.I look forward to starting book 2- Chronicles of a Bare Naked Nudist, REBIRTH: Penny's Tale

Penelope's story
The sequel to The Bare Naked Nudist. This is the backstory of Penny, who Rick met and began a romance with in the first book. There are segments in this book that appear lifted in tact from the first book. One particular part near the end seems out of character for the story.Aside from that,a good story perfectly set up for a third story to continue or conclude this series.

I am sure it would go over well in Texas, or some parts of the state the author is from.
Interesting premise. Fairly good through the first part of the book, then.. to me at least, its gets a bit absurd. We have classic, "Guns are so good everyone needs them.", because, you know.. nude people are so dangerous that tazers won't work on them. Oh, wait, that is unfair, I am sure *every day* a terrorist is out to kill the police captain in nudist colonies, so yeah, the obsession about when the security people get one makes perfect sense. Oh, right, and with all the criminals in the world, said terrorist thinks a basket case bar tender is the perfect partner in crime to catch the guy who put him in jail. My father and brother where both in law enforcement themselves, and.. sometimes they say some dang stupid things, but I suspect even they would find some of the stuff in this book absurd. Me.. I think the laws in Arizona, with respect to guns, are dangerous, foolish, counter productive, and so are a lot of its other policies on many subjects. It bugs me sometimes being in this state. That the author doesn't just like them, but came up with a story straight out of a bad episode of that joke TV show 24 (or dang close to it).. Well, thankfully I only wasted two days one this dreck, and had another 4 other books, which I read the same week, to help me recover from the last half of it.

This would make a great screenplay.
This story would make a great film especially for us nudists who understand that our lifestyle isn't pornographic. There is just enough romance to represent real life and not falsely portray naturists as openly fornicating all over the place. The family aspect to the story is very refreshing too especially including the grandchildren's embracing of the lifestyle. All too often, society feels that children must be protected from the harm of seeing a nude human for some reason. We need to protect them from sexual predators and pedophiles, not law abiding naturists.

Simple story, but reasonably well developed characters
I like the story quite a bit. While the story was a fairly simple one, the characters were reasonably well-developed, and the story line was easy to get into. It rolled along smoothly and made the reader wish they too were in some of those locations. If the author ever writes a sequel, I'd certainly be interested in reading it.

More fun in the buff
Based in and around the same Naturist (Nudist) retirement complex as Chronicles of a Bare Baked Nudist, with new Hi-tec and more environmentally friendly road system we meet our protagonists all over again... In fact it is the very same story as the first Chronicles book .. but from the view point of a different person (Clever idea!!) Then after it has reached the end of book one it moves the romance between our 2 lead characters onto a finale that sets up Book 3... Please let there be a Book 3 Jake!!

Great tale ..well told
A well narrated tale. Written in the first person the "chronicle" starts off as a totally believable story of a cop who retires on the sudden death of his wife in a car crash to live the life as naturist gypsy. As the story moves on from there it remains interesting and the characters begin to develop. I would be keen to hear of a follow up book.

Crocodile Tears and a Big 'Ego'
In the end this character is just too sanctimoniously sleazy for me. He has all the double standards of the worst type of puritan being all too ready to shag an emotionally disturbed teenage girl while grieving for his dead wife and then kick her out the door when she thinks he is going to give her some emotional support. While it's mildly interesting to learn more about the naturist lifestyle, he also spends rather too much time telling us what a big dick he has and flirting with another female despite his continuing 'grief'. His self-satisfied ego almost pays the price of how heartlessly he used the teenage girl and by that point you can't help but wish that his karma really came round to bite him in the ass.
