[EDIT] I should have posted this some time ago. The company reached out to me within 2 days and sent me a new set, and a label to return the original. The new set worked perfectly. Upgraded to 5 stars. Very happy with this company.I purchased the "4LIFETIMELINES Economy Brake Line Flare Kit for Single, Double (SAE) Flares & Bubble (ISO) Flares - 2 Flaring Bars, 9 Flaring Dies, Tubing Reamer, & Storage Case" Just the other day. I have made 6 bubble flares with it using 4LifeTimeLines 3/8" steel tubing.As I completed the 6th flare, when backing out, the die threaded portion snapped off in the yoke making both pieces unusable. It is next to impossible to contact the company. the '800' number takes a message at some other number and you have to find all information on their website.I have sent an email to the company and am waiting for a response and remedy to this situation. Will update as this progresses... and change ratings and comments as needed.

Makes nice Metric "bubble" and SAE double flare (inverted flare) ends for brake lines. Two line holders grip all size tubes very right, make it easy to flare the ends on copper, copper/nickel and mile steel brake line tubing. Confident it will work for all normal sizes of metal tubing for brakes and other hydraulic and liquid lines. It helps to apply some silicone grease to the threads and tube-shaping fittings to limit binding and make flaring easier. Well worth the price.

This is a great bubble flare set also a standard flare set. Great value.

First impressions it seems like a nice heavy duty flaring kit. It clamped on to the pipes firmly and didn’t slip while flaring like a previous set. It made nice bubble flares as well. However, I needed to make four flares and it broke after the second one. The clamp stud on the side that doesn’t open cross threaded while loosening it. At no point did I ever completely remove the wing nut, I only loosened and tightened it. When I tried tightening it up for the third flare, it was seized. To finish the rest of the flares in these ALUMINUM pipes, I had to squeeze that end of the flare bar with a c-clamp. After I made all the flares I needed, I tried loosening the wing nut but it was tight. I wedged a pry bar in it to get it to move and it snapped off. While using it, I was only tightening the wing nuts by hand so I wasn’t over tightening it. The swivel studs are just made out of cheap metal. At least it lasted long enough to complete the task. I’ll be returning it.

For years I have had trouble flaring brake/clutch pipes. This kit works really well and after a couple of test runs I can make really good flares.

Good beginner tool but I ended up buying a better one for 3/16” size overall. One of the 3/16” dyes broke off after flaring 7 or 8 brake lines and got stock inside.. The larger dyes look solid but not quite a professional tool overall. This is better than your standard $20-$40 tool kits.

Worked great for making the double bubble flares that I needed.
