Piggies choice hayracks so piggies waste less and eat more!
So happy to finally get these hayracks. They hold lots of hay and keep it clean so there is less waste. It is so easy for the piggies to get the long strands of timothy hay out as they eat, plenty of arched openings for multiple piggies to eat at the same time. No worries about piggies burrowing in and getting stuck as each archway opening has its own chamber. The beautiful color options match the piggies choice spacehouse and food bowls too. All non toxic materials, expertly designed. Our piggies were so delighted when we first put them in they pushed them around a little as they explored behind them. We now have them in a different spot, so we'll see if they push them around again, if so I will put on the hooks (included) to anchor them in place.

Great Hay Feeder!
We have been working on a large C&C grid based cage in our bonus room for our three lady piggies. We looked at several feeder options and found this to be the easiest to mount and fill. One option was a system that has a metal clip holding in the hay, this is ok but harder to fill and sometimes the clip comes pops out which is difficult to fix. Other options is a hay bag which we found is difficult for the piggies to remove all the hay. The Piggies Choice design is very easy to fill with hay and easy for the piggies to remove the hay without too much mess. The hooks on the back was easy to measure and install to whatever dimensions your cage has. Our cage was based on C&C grids and has worked well, can be positioned either on the floor or slightly above. In general we have found the products from the Piggies Choice product line from the LA guinea pig rescue have been exceptional and I would recommend them.

It kinda mess when refilling it
It’s a good product and It keeps the hay off the ground. But when refilling it, it got hay all over the place. I put the hay rack in the hay bag to refill it but the hay still fell from the holes. The hay also breaks down when refilling and causes more dust than just putting the hay into the litter box. It causes more cleaning of hay on the floor and in the cage. I have stopped using the hay rack.

Goodbye hay problems! The PERFECT hay solution for Guinea pigs!
Like most guinea pig owners we started out with the pet-store hay racks which hang on the outside of the cage, we soon realized this was limiting their hay intake and switched to just puting large piles of hay in their enclosure. That solved the problem of them not being able to eat their hay easy enough but then we had another problem, hay EVERYWHERE, I'm talking hay drug ALL OVER their enclosure, if you use fleece like us you know how difficult it is to spot clean when there is hay mixed in with the poo all over the cage! The girls did love to play in the piles of hay, which wouldn't have been an issue except for after they played in it for 30 minutes it was also full of pee and poop they wouldn't eat it and needed a NEW fresh pile of hay, this was just not going to work, we went through SO much hay while we were doing open piles, it was crazy, and it wasn't a problem because I was worried about the $, we buy large 3-string bales of Timothy hay at our local feed store, 100lbs for 26$, so it wasn't so much the "wasted money" that was the problem, it was the constant refilling of the hay, the GIGANTIC mountain of hay that accumulated in my compost pile after just 2 weeks of this and the nightmare that it made spot cleaning. We have 4 piggies and a 30sq ft enclosure on fleece, it took an entire hour to "spot" clean with open piles of hay in the enclosure, wasn't really SPOT cleaning anymore, and since we spot clean 2-3 times a day the time requirement was just unsustainable to say the least. So I went on the hunt for a solution to our hay problems. First we tried the "litter box" thing a lot of people do, that took care of the cleaning issues but ended up making the refilling and thrown out hay even worse because now they went potty in the hay even MORE which meant we had to top off and refill the hay MORE often, so that only lasted a few days. The next thing we tried were those hay bags you clip to the side of the enclosure, I picked ones with large openings hoping it wouldn't limit their hay intake, they kept the hay contained but it felt like the girls WERE too limited in the amount of hay they were able to pick through and they kept climbing INTO the hay bags to find their favorite pieces and then, of course, pooping in it. So that didn't work either. Finally I came across THESE wooden hay racks from LA Guinea Pig rescue! We ordered one to try it out and it solved ALL our problems! The multiple large "windows" on the front and sides and open top makes it easy for our girls to pick through and find their favorite pieces, it's designed so they can't get INTO the hay holder to pee and poo on the hay and the frame is just enough to keep the hay contained to one area! It's PERFECT! Oh, and since the bottom is open as well if you have a little baby piggie who CAN fit inside one of the sections there's no need to worry they'll get stuck in there! So, we ordered a second one and have had no more hay issues since! Thank you so much for designing these Saskia, your experience with guinea pigs shows in your products and we are super grateful to have found them! Goodbye hay problems!

Wrong Item Sent
I purchased the Warm Cherry 3 Arch Rack & received the Warm Cherry "L-Shaped" Rack. 😔 I am returning. Going to purchase the 3 Arch Rack again. Hoping that I get what I ordered next time! A little disappointed in the lack of attention to detail with my order. Now I have to wait longer to use my hay rack (since I have to place a repeat order) & I have the hassle of getting this one to UPS. On a positive note - the hay rack is beautiful & seems well-made! I love the color - Warm Cherry. It is going to be a wonderful addition to Leon's cage!!!! ❤

It’s a great well made product!
I have two piggies. It is large enough for them both. It is sturdy and well made. They love the way the hay sticks out in all directions as well as all the openings so they can push their faces deep in the grass. My piggies love to tunnel grass but this saves me lots of grass as they can only tunnel head and shoulders deep so therefor no pooping and peeing on their grass. A true money saver. Thank you!

Holds the hay so it dlesnt get scattered all over the cage and get soiled on and the openings are a nice size. I don't use the clips to attach this to the side of cage wires as I didn't find them to secure, but it sits nicely on the floor. So far, so good. Hay racks seem to be discouraged by many guinea pig owners but I haven't seen an issue yet

The baby guinea piggies adore going in and out of the tunnels, and adorably sit insidd it to eat the hay! The Mumma eats the hay they can’t reach. And the hay rack looks great too!
