Works very well (2004 civic dx see review)
I was looking for a kit for my cable-driven door locks for my 2004 civic dx. Everything I've tried has failed to do the job. I've ruined a few sets of cable locks attempting to use a "traditional universal style" lock kit. Nothing worked & I was left scratching my head."Why not just try the standard locks that come on higher trims, I thought?" If this did not work, surely I was at a dead end. The process for removing the door lock mechanism was a bit laborious, BUT the dx trim does have the ability to utilize the factory lock motors, they just were never added due to being a base model!! With those installed, locks wired up & even going so far as to use a factory door handle/lock combo it all worked!!At last, power locks were had & this simple little kit helped immensely.

Not impressed in slightest
Was not autohaux brand but lambo. Instructions awful. I installed correctly but product does not work. Used learning button and nothing. Crap product. All installed and useless.

Used to replace a 25 year old keyless system
I used this AUTOHAUX keyless system to replace a 20+ year old system that had quit working in my 1970 GMC truck. The wiring was the was same, down to the colors of the wires. Even the new actuator mounting hardware was the same as the old actuator hardware. I just cut the wires off at the old keyless module connector plug and spliced the new keyless module connector plug into the existing harness. Everything works fineThis new system uses one 5 wire lock actuator and my old system used two 5 wire lock actuators. There doesn't seem to be any physical difference between the new and old actuators. So I didn't need to replace my existing lock actuators. By having two 5 wire actuators I can lock all doors by manually locking either door. With the old keyless module, the driver's door lock actuator would not unlock the door. Just by changing out the old keyless module with the new keyless module got the driver's door actuator working again. The range on these remote key fobs is great. I can lock or unlock the doors easily over 50 feet from my truck.

Works
Installed in an extended chevy express van.Recommend watching youtube videos to go over the install, but it was not bad if you know how to wrench on cars.Other notes:* The master switch will lock/unlock the rest of the doors. So if you lock the drivers door, the rest of the locks will lock. And if you unlock it, all doors will unlock.* The manual locks are a little bit harder to lock/unlock now, but I am still able to lock & unlock with a key* The wiring harness was too short for the side & rear doors of my van. I needed to get an additional 22 feet of wire to complete the installation.* I have no idea how to hook up the flashers and horn/siren. The instructions didn't really provide any insight into how those leads would work. I guess I could have used a multimeter to figure it out.* I lost one of the actuating rods during the install. I was able to get a replacement from a local car audio shop for cheap.* I used loctite on the actuating rod clamps, don't want those rattling out* I tried to line the actuating rods as close as possible to original lock rod. One I had to bend slightly to get good fitment.* The locks seem to work well. All doors lock and unlock easily. Time will tell.UPDATE: Jan 2023, Still working well. I took a multimeter to the pink (turn signal) and yellow (siren/horn) leads. Both leads seem to be signaling 12V (not ground). 1 pulse for lock, 2 pulse for unlock.

Made a feral cat trap with this
I use this to trap feral cats. It works well, and I like that I can hide in my car and drop the trap door with the fob from a pretty good distance away. Iām often watching the cats live on security cameras, and the cats never see me. I have not used this for its intended purpose in a car door, but the key fob does work from a pretty good distance away.
