SockStar Sock Clips - Gold Edition Tin Gift Box (20 Clips)

Maybe I am too stupid but it doesn't hold the socks together. They usually get separated in the washing machine, certainly in the dryer. I am currently experimenting with different ways of clipping the sox in. Some basic instructions with the product would have been helpful. It is not apparent how you put the socks into the device. But again, maybe I am just too stupid.Addendum 1 year later: I am actually too stupid. The instructions were well hidden in the box (hint: put them on top!) but once I found them and read them they worked well and I have been using them for a year. One benefit not immediately apparent is that you can put the socks on a clothesline with the included hook. In summary, an excellent product for people less dense than me.

I have used several types of sock clips for my work (thin cotton) socks. These are good clips and I would give a 5-star rating except they are difficult to get my socks clipped into the device. It takes me longer than with other clips. I have had no problems with sock becoming loose in the wash or dryer, and this is with quite thin socks.DETAILS:My favorite clip is  SockPro Sock Holders Red . You can get them in various colors and they are simple to put your socks into them and I have had very minimal loose socks after many (~15) washes with each clip. You just pull the ends through the socks and it is almost a one hand operation once you get used to it. I have not liked  10 Pcs Mix Color Socks Stockings Hose Clip Holder Organizer Rack Laundry Supplies  as well. They grip the socks much looser than the ones I recommend and I am loosing socks 15-20% of the time.I have also used  24 SockLocks, Colors May Vary  with good success. They are a harder plastic where the ones I recommend are softer and more flexible. I thought that the SockLocks would not hold up well to the hot wash and may become brittle. They seem quite flimsy; however they have worked well through at least 10 wash/dry cycles and given the price they may be a better purchase than the SockPro item.These SockStar clips are even tighter holding than the other clips I have used. They are thicker plastic and seem well made. I like the color on them and think they will hold up well. I have only used a few clips through 2 wash/dry cycles, so I do not know the longer term reliability, but I expect that it will be fine. If you have had problems with other sock clips loosing grip in the wash, then I would suggest these. They take me a bit longer to get my socks clipped is the only negative I have. I may be a little stingy in taking off a star...

I bought these when I found out the Sock Huggers I bought previously were no longer available. I have to say I prefer these sock clips. They are especially nice because in addition to keeping the socks together in the washer and dryer, they make for tidy storage in the sock drawer.I take the additional step of putting my socks in a lingerie bag. It keeps them altogether so you don't have to waste time sorting through the wash to put them away.

Call me anal-retentive, but I love this concept.Been using sock clips for over a year and a half, and I am hooked (no pun intended).These hold up very well (cheaper ones just don't have the grip these do). It takes a while to get them (mine were mailed from Israel) but if you absolutely detest sorting socks on laundry day, wait'll your try this babies!

Have other sock clips, but they don't work with thick socks so I thought I'd try these. They do seem to work better with the thick socks, and they seem to be made of quality plastic. If they were 25% cheaper, I might give another star.

These work great on socks with a little bulk. Very thin ones (stocking weight) will slip out. The container is good to have. For travel, I roll the socks up with the clips, and then stick them back on when the socks come off, and I have less chance of losing a sock.

I have a chest full of thong sandals in every color and I use these to hold them together. They work brilliantly and I don't have to dig for pairs!

Best idea since sliced bread. Don't lose any socks, easy to dry on the line & and easy to keep the "correct" socks together. Worth every penny!
