Knights of Columbus: Forty-Nine- Years and Still a Closed Door Paperback – December 18, 2013

I've only read the preview and premise and it is misleading. While the author may be correct that there were no African American State Deputies in 2012, Sanford Hillsman was the State Secretary of the Georgia State Council, next in line to be State Deputy. In 2013 Mr. Hillsman became the Worthy State Deputy of the Georgia Council, not because of the color of his skin but because the content of his character as strong, faithful leader.

It is a rather rare yet wholly regretted surprise, for Catholics to discover that some Protestants suspect Catholicism of devil-worship(?!) I thought this suspicion was a newer development (of misunderstanding) ... Interesting to find this older gentleman's account of such perceptions from a century, ago (my KofC Chapter has always had prominent Black Leaders, which is beside my point)

Reads like one man's personal complaint. This is not my experience at all.
