Really good quality and craftsmanship. I’ve been using it for a few months now and the bees seem to love it. it took a little bit of time to build but ones done it was worth it and the instructions were pretty clear.

I liked the tight fitting joints, the waxed coating covered well and was easy to put together.

The media could not be loaded. It was easy to put together by myself in about an hour. Just line the sides of the boxes up and tap in gently to start. Everything fit together smoothly and bees have happily moved in.

Nice bee hive. Everything is waxed, it looks nice, and will function well. Assembly is a little tricky because the wood on both the box and the inner frames tends to split easily. Being careful not to over-torque the screws and hammer carefully. Pre-drilling pilot holes for the nails will prevent splitting, but will also take a lot longer.

Pieces fit very well together—no gaps or poor joints and there is a sufficient coat of wax so no painting required. It looks nice—mildly important for a backyard hobbyist. It comes with an entrance reducer too. But the inner cover is not notched, so you have to add one care to provide adequate ventilation. And the bottom board is solid—I prefer a screened bottom board for many reasons. So using this may require extra work and expense.But it is inexpensive by itself and a good value. Just know you may well have to make some adjustments.

I usually buy from Dadant but this year my package of bees was arriving sooner than I thought and my Dadant order wasn't going to arrive soon enough. I frantically ordered this one and it was shipped within a day. I am very happy with the assembly. Much easier to assemble than my hive I got last year from Dadant and I only bent one nail while putting the frames together! I love that its all already coated with beeswax. It feels very sturdy. I am hopeful that it will hold up well in the elements.

This is one of the best products i have ever seen. The woodworking craftmanship is impressive. I spent about an hour having fun assembling it. Thank you for this amazing hive :) !!!!
