Works well and fits older Model 2012
This worked well on my older model 2012 planer. This dust hood has an extra metal track that’s not needed for the model 2012, but you do need the screws that are on that metal track. It seals up pretty well and eliminates about 90% of the dust. I used a Rockler dust fitting adapter (size “A”) to connect to my dust extractor.

En soi la pièce est efficace. Par contre ai du utiliser un raccord 80 *mâle* de plomberie pour basculer vers mon aspi karcher.Sinon la pièce étant fournie avec la raboteuse, j'ai renvoyé celle-ci qu'amazon m'avait proposée en complément de commande.

New, OEM and works well
The hood was in new condition and is OEM Makita as it matches my broken hood in every way. FYI, with sufficient suction, this works fine when planing 12" hardwood material. However, when planing great thicknesses of 12" softwood (which I rarely do), I have on occasion had to open it up quickly (with the easy to access thumbscrews already present on the thicknesser) and clear up a jam.
