I use these to hold router bits.
I had a bunch of loose router bits to corral, so I picked these up and drilled some holes in a scrap piece of Ash. Stuffed these bushings in and they worked great for that. The OD on the upper part was .520", too big to recess with a 0.5-inch bit, so I just let the flanges sit on top the block. My Forstner set doesn't go up by 32nds. 5/8" was too big. They fit snugly into a 5/16" hole. Router bits with 1/4-inch shanks also fit nicely, not too tight.

Flange bushing
I like the quality I like the pricing on these I normally use brass, but these are pretty nice. Can’t beat it for the price and are working just fine.
