I love this journal SO much!
I use this bullet journal every day. Journaling has made such a difference to my mindset. This journal is top quality, nice thick pages which means very little (if any!) bleeding. If you have pens that are prone to bleeding there’s a page at the back for testing on anyway which saves messing up your BuJo! The quality of this journal is great, I love the front cover design and the smooth feel of the journal itself. The contents page is a nice feature and the fact the pages are numbered. Once I’ve filled this one I’ll be 100% purchasing another journal from Yop & Tom, I just hope they bring out some more designs!

Super pretty and perfect for a variety of mediums
I love this journal already! The pre-printed page numbers, index, key, and pen test page are a huge help. The markings on the grid for half/quarter pages is also super useful. I'm so happy they included a cardstock grid guide, so I don't need to count the grid myself! I guess this is a new thing, looking at previous reviews, so the addition of the grid spacing guide is a huge improvement. The paper is smooth and thick. The 160 gsm weight is perfect for gouache and watercolour (not too much water of course) and the amount of buckling is not crazy. Sharpie is OK on this. My fine tip Sharpie ghosted a bit. It would probably bleed through if I drew slower, like alcohol inks usually do.My fountain pens also take to the paper very well, with no bleeding, no ghosting, and a teeny bit of feathering depending on the ink. I tested with a Lamy Safari EF and Pilot Kakuno F, both with Diamine Earl Grey and they worked very well on the paper. There is a little bit of tooth on the paper, but it's too much that the pen scratches on the paper.

It’s nice, but…
I have been using bullet journals for about 5 years and have tried a few now, some good and some not so good. I suppose I’ve got a bit fussier as the years have gone on. Things I like about this one, thick, smooth pages, which is important for laying down all different types of media. This might be able to take a slightly wetter media too, but I don’t tend to use paint in my journals. I like the grid guide and the fact that the pages are clearly numbered. Things I don’t like - the paper is bright white. Some might prefer that, but to me, it’s a bit stark. This is accentuated by the fact the dots are a bit too dark, which I know is going to detract from my images. I also wish for the price they’d included a pen loop. A small point, but it’s always handy and I wish I’d noticed it didn’t have one. I chose the navy version and I’ve only opened the book a few times and finger prints show really easily on the cover already. I’m just not sure if these things will annoy me as the year progresses…
