nice book.
Lovely book, my son was excited to read. However, forgot about it soon. would like more 'childish' pictures as well as adults with signs.

Very clear book, a definite buy if baby signing,
Beautiful book. Very clear pictures. My 2 yr. old learned all the signs listed in 5 minutes, and loves signing them to her baby brother!

The book is simply excellent for these reasons
The book is simply excellent for these reasons: the images are clear and realistic, it has tabs for easy reading/turning of pages, it has a touch/feel element on each page and has a photo of a child doing the sign. This book is perfect. I also bought Baby Signs by Joy Allen - will all due respect, I have not clue why anyone would think that odd drawings of child-like creature are helpful. At 11 months my baby was able to learn to do high-five: this made me think he was ready to learn to sign. The teaching process: I do the sign and say the words (example: "more") and hold a food item in front of him, then I move his hands to do the sign and finally hand him the food item. After several days, he would randomly do the sign. Now at 17 months, he clearly can convey to us when he wants "more" food. Very helpful.

Fun book about signs
Great gift, difficult to find anything similar to this. I purchased this for a friend's daughter's first birthday. My friend had mentioned that she really wanted to start teaching her daughter signs, but she was in a phase where she hated books that didn't have textures in them. While this book does not have the most exciting textures (no fur or spiky things), there is some tactile pages. Her daughter loves the book, and was reliably doing two signs (more and all done) within a few weeks of getting the book.

Impressive easy to use book
Good book. Page's are sturdy. Photos are good and easy to understand for both adult and child. I honestly recommend this book. It's not large and packed full of page after page of signing, but it's perfect for children and adults who are trying to begin learning to sign without getting overwhelmed. The size was just right for the 2 year old birthday girl who received it. She flipped through each page and it held her attention.
