Mabel: A Demonstration of the Power of God's Word

This is a wonderful book about God's love and faithfulness even in the hard times. I also recommend the sequel, A Faithful Father. Knowing they are about the lives of real people, make them even better. We read them aloud and could hardly put them down. I highly recommend these books for families to read together. They were truly a blessing. Thanks for sharing your family's story, Sis Charlotte Huskey.

I loved this book! It was so well written I felt I was in the middle of the story while I was reading! I will definitely recommend this book to all ages. My girls are going to love it!

A very inspiring read. It's wonderful to have a true, faithfilled story to share. I read this book to my class at school! There were always moans when it was time to quit reading for the day because the children didn't want me to put it down! They couldn't wait to see how God would work in Mabel's life next. We loved this book and are sure you will too!

This true story is about Mabel whose mother died at 7 and her father had to abandoned her to live with another family at 12 where she worked hard to survive. It has been most enjoyable. This is a story that will bring hope and direction to any child who has been left by their parents or who have lost a parent. The guidance in scripture that she finds through everyday life will help others to see how God shows himself strong and mighty in times of need. I recommend this book to be read out loud in every home as a devotional. Shut Hollywood out and open its pages then discuss the principles after each chapter with the questions asked.

I know the author but did not have the privilege of knowing Mabel. The book was quick to draw me in and knowing it was a true accounting made each twist and turn of Mabel’s life all the more riveting. Great for readers of all ages.
