Zebra Sarasa Clip Gel Ink Ballpoint Pen, 0.7mm, 3 Color Set (JJB15-3CA)

I've tried lots of gel pens and many are quite decent, but this is by far writes the darkest, smoothest, and cleanest of any I've tried. Also the ink is waterproof, a property I need. The spring clip is an added bonus as I clip this to shirts of varying thicknesses and it always stays put. I am not crazy about the thickness of the pen barrel at the writing end--I prefer a narrower, more tapered end--and so I've purchased a few Pilot Juice pens and made frankenpens--Pilot bottoms and Sarasa tops. (The Juice is a sloppy writer as is the G2, and while it does have a spring clip, I prefer the Sarasa's.) It's cheaper to buy Sarasas as whole pens rather than refills, so I have extra packs and just insert the ink cartridges into my frankenpens as needed.

So I held these pens in high regard, especially after watching many videos, but is anyone else having issues with the cartridge of the pen being full and the ink starts going in and out as you’re writing? The same thing happened with the blue and black pens that came in the pack. This situation was worse on other pages, but I kind of, unfortunately, got fed up and took a picture of the issue I’m having. You can see that the top is perfect and at the bottom, the ink is starting to go in and out, disappearing. It’s happening again with the red pen. I don’t want to leave a bad review because when working these pens are amazing but unfortunately, I’m having this situation and it happened with all three pens that came in this pack.

Very good pens will be buying again in the future

I originally purchased this pen as an ink refill for my Uni Jetstream Alpha Gel Grip pen (I don't like ballpoint). When the pens arrived, I tested them and they worked great. The laid down smoothly, the color was right (ballpoint is a blue-violet black), and the refills fit my pen. A couple hours after the package arrived, however, the black pen started to leak. I noticed that a ball of ink would form around the ball and go everywhere. The black pen now skips. The other pens are fine, though.

I've always liked Zebra Sarasa pens, namely the 0.7 size variety. My thing though was to always play with the clip while thinking when working on a project. I've had the clip break on me a few times. Now that they've redesigned the clip with a spring, it's much less breakable, which is great for people with nervous ticks like this. Also love the fact that it comes in a 3-pack with my most used colors!

These pens aren’t the same as they used to be. The older ones were skinnier and wrote better.

Smooth as silk. Just glides on paper. Great buy. I love it.

Received this set of 3 pens last week. Upon opening, I noticed that the red and blue pens were 0.7mm and that the black came in 1.0mm. Would advise checking package before opening.

I am an English teacher. I grade a lot of papers. These are so smooth....I also like the multicolour pack with fun colours.
