Time saver.
Works well. It’s a Chinese knockoff on the pricier version but does the job well. Beware the red paint will rub off on your wood work at first.

really nice tool but not so great for soft woods (redwood or fir)
I did not want to haul out a router to job site (no external power access) so I hesitantly purchased this tool. It is a fundamentally a hand planer with a curved blade for edges. It works surprisingly well on hard woods or woods without strong grains. I used it on sized construction timber to round off exposed edges. Some of the edges were splintered which would catch and be torn by the chamber planer. I needed to run the chamber planer in the direction with the splinter. The adjustment screw worked very well allowing me to adjust the cut depth in small increments to manage the splintered edges, and held the blade in place firmly. I am very happy with this purchase

Finish wears off too easily
Very easy to use. Adjusting the depth of the cutter is simple although maybe a little loose. Changing blades is odd as the adjusting wheel is not locked in and can/will fall out when you remove the blade to switch to another. My biggest complaint is that the finish wears off as you use it leaving discoloration on your project. It's not a powder coated finish.

Don't Bother
I read the reviews on this plane and thought that maybe it was a bad batch and that I would get something better but after receiving the tool I found out the reason for the other reviews. . .paint! Instead of being made from a red block of aluminum, this plane is made of metal and painted red so when it is used it leaves a streak of red paint in its wake. I needed to re-sand the wood and return the plane.

Leaves paint and black marks on wood as you work.
I tried it out on a test piece of pine and the paint rubs off on the wood leaving wide steaks of bright red enamel paint. Apparently it's some sort of nonferrous metal painted with a cheap enamel paint that rubs off easily. After sanding the paint off and cleaning the paint dust by wiping, rubbing with a damp cloth, then buffing with a little machine oil it now leaves dark marks like pencil lead on all the test pieces I've tried. Even after the 10th piece the marks are just as strong. Very poor quality piece definitely not worth buying at all.

Very convenient edge trimmer
I usually used to trimming edges by using my router table before. However, for some small project like a bird houses, it is not necessary to use router table since it is so heavy to take it from garage. This one is a good solution that provide a portable edge trimmer and done jobs easily.

I wanted this to be awesome...and it isn't.
I'm a professional carpenter and I have a lot of projects that need edges to be "broken" or rounded over. Straight up unsanded or routed edges - on handrails or door casings or desks, etc. - can be sharper than most folks realize, so when I saw a small plane that could easily take edges down without having to hand sand (easy to do too much or too little) or get out the trim router (very dusty), I thought it would be a great option. Alas. The blades yield a LOT of pullout and rip materials. I guess that's to be expected for what is a fairly low-priced wood plane, but it occurs even when removing very little material. Even when going in a favorable direction with the grain. And the other HUGE problem - which I never saw coming - is that the plane is painted - it comes in black or red and I got the red - and the paint rubs off. A LOT! Not good! Many of my projects are to be stained, so leaving red streaks over the edges of my work isn't okay at all. Nor do I need this "time saving" device adding to my punch list with a "final sanding". If I was going to do that I could have just sanded all the edges. I'm basically giving it two stars for the idea of it - but the reality is very disappointing. I can probably strip the paint off the deck that touches the work, but that's more of a project than I wanted for something that cost over $30 all in. Did the folks that made this tool NEVER think to try it? Yikes!
