Top quality! Unobtrusive but highly functional.
I’ve had a couple of other bike mirrors, and I’m liking this more than all the others. It is extremely well-made and very sturdy. The mirror surface is excellent. The mirror is easy to adjust yet stays in place even going over bumpy roads. Compared to the mirrors that stick up and out from the end of the handlebar, this one is compact and unobtrusive.

A very useful accessory and an excellent value
After reading some critical reviews, I decided to give this product a chance and am glad I did. Here are my observations and comments. It is a sturdy mirror that is very useful for checking for cars or faster cyclists catching up on you. I got a larger size one and it has a wide enough angle of view eliminating the need to turn and twist your neck trying to catch an image. Compared to the third-eye helmet mounted one that I used before it is a huge improvement. Just a quick snap glance gives you the info you need. The quality of the mirror is adequate for the job. Close examination clearly shows that it is not a high-quality surface mirror. But then again it is not designed for astronomy research or close shaving. It does show large objects approaching from behind and that is it. The mirror is slightly convex which does distort the image somewhat. On the upside the curvature also increases the field of view. I am not sure how much it actually helps but does not hurt much either. The mount is very sturdy. I was concerned about annoyingly shaky images caused by mirror vibrations, but it is not a problem at all. The image is easy to read and that is all that matters to me. Installation was easy but did require a 5 mm Allen wrench with is not included. I ended up rotating the insert 180 degrees compared to the recommended picture (drop down offset) because that way on my mountain bike the mirror was partially obstructed by left forearm. Now the mirror sits about an inch or so above the handlebar and it solved the problem. I suspect reviewers who had the mirror break off just over-tightened the screw. If your bike does not have to be put in a rack or loaded into a vehicle then tightening the screw to immobilize the mirror is probably okay. But if the bike needs to be handled, it is safer to play with the screw to make the screw tight enough to securely hold the mirror for the ride, yet light enough to allow the mirror to be movable by hand so that it can be swung safely in for loading and unloading. Semi-tight adjustment also allow tweaking the mirror angle to your liking while riding. Other reviewer already suggest it as well. One improvement a manufacturer or an end-user could consider: replacing the inner hex screw with an M6-25 butterfly or wing screw allows adjusting the joint by hand while on the road and eliminates the need to carry an Allen wrench with you. Overall, it is a very useful product and a good value. So much so that I just ordered a second one for another bike.

Nice mirror, but fell off after about 2 yrs with broken rubber O-ring part, and scratches easily.
I would give these 4 stars for 3 reasons. Just the other day, after about 2 yrs use, suddenly it fell off. I was lucky to find the small black plastic parts that are wedged so when you tighten it inside your handle bars they expand and tighten against the inside of your handle bars. There is a thin kind of O-ring of a kind of rubber that loses its elasticity in time, for me about 2 yrs. When that little ring snaps your mirror will fall out. It was at night and very lucky I could find the tiny black parts against the black pavement. I did a temporary fix by using a rubber band I wrapped where the O-ring had been. That was about 2 weeks ago and not sure how long that will last, but will save the money for now. Also if you get the non-glass mirror, even if you're careful, the reflective material gets small scratches much more easily than glass. It's not so bad until you have the sun behind you then the tiny scratches will significantly haze your view. The pluses are it was easy to install. Also, I like very much the ball joint design as it holds its adjustment very well, far better than 2 other brands I've owned. Only once in a great while, compared to other brands of handlebar mirrors, that it needed to be tightened. I won't buy this particular model or brand again because of the scratching problem, and because the mirror took some getting used to for width of visibility as the mirror is fairly small. I also think the quality of the rubber-like O-ring, being that it's protected out of the weather inside the handlebar, lost it's elasticity far too soon. It's only luck I didn't have to buy a mirror due to my own rubber band idea. I hope this helps.

Performs as Expected
Second purchase after buying one five years ago for another bike. Good quality product; made in Taiwan (as opposed to the PRC). Mounted it on a cruiser. Easy to install and adjust. (it would have been even easier if I had the right sized spade drill bit rout out the end of the rubber handlebar cover.) Doesn't jiggle; good clarity. Decent price, too. I keep it firm enough to hold a setting but with enough play to enable easy adjustment. Satisfied.

Difficult to adjust, optical clarity is not great
To skip to the end: I am keeping this, but mostly because I threw away the packaging and would feel bad returning it without. The good: It installs and adjusts easily using a 5mm hex wrench (not included). Just inserts into the end of your handlebars if you have the type grips with removable plugs. The bad: The "mirror" is more like a mirrorish plastic film, with lots of waviness and a fair amount of blur. (Yes, I took the protective film off) The mirror is slightly convex, but not very, which means aiming the mirror properly takes a lot of messing around and tweaking. Additionally, the way it is built not all of the aiming can be done mirror-side alone, requiring a lot of twisting and tweaking, which requires the adjusters to be quite loose otherwise the "mirror" distorts worryingly as you adjust. When you do get it right, you then lean your bike against something and ruin the aim and have to start all over. Overall: I love the idea and the form, but the quality and execution leave a lot to be desired. Might be helped by buying a stick-on convex mirror or something.

I bought this after starting to cycle again and not confident to turn my head to see what traffic was behind me. This mirror has transformed that. It's very easy to fit on the end of the handle bars, and easy to twist to the correct position to see behind. I like that it folds under the handle bar when you store the bike away so it doesn't get knocked. I have found it very stable so it is easy to see the cars behind. I would highly recommend it for cyclists like me who are nervous in traffic. It really helps to know what is behind you.
