Easy to attach, clean, and clear instructions
This product is fantastic! I bought it mostly to grate cheese, and it definitely does that! I was worried it would be hard to use. However, the instructions are great and attaching it is effortless! Great product

Pleasantly surprised
So I bought this attachment as we have had fix our mixer for about 3 years and never use it. I wanted to shred my own cheese... you know...just for something to do. This one was obviously cheaper than the official one. Since we never use the mixer, I did not want to pay for the official one I took a shot with this one. Can't say I expected much.It came nicely packaged and with all the parts and pieces as listed. The quality felt solid and not cheap.When it came down to using it on Taco Tuesday, I must say, I was really suprised. It shredded though cheese perfectly and in a uniform cut.Clean up was about average as with any kitchen appliance. Wasn't too difficult to figure out how to put it on, how to take it off, and cleaning.Only thing, I wish it came with a storage bag or container to keep it in, but nothing a gallon sized storage zip lock can't fix. Not worth losing a star over.

Great to have, with a learning curve.
They work perfectly well! Though, there is a learning curve to use them properly. On the slicer you'll find food gets kind of stuck and you'll have to scrape it off.Shredding cheese is actually kind of difficult as it sticks to itself and forms a ball of you don't stop to scoop it out. An angled piece to coax it into falling out would be a massive improvement.It's easy to clean to an extent. To really get in there you'll want to use a good brush and it's not exactly low intensity.

The attachment is a lot smaller than my other one.
Haven't had a chance to try the attachment but it is a lot smaller than my other one. I only bought this because the collar on my other attachment has a crack and I don't want to be without one at the last minute. I grate all my cheese with this type of shredder. This one is really small in comparision.

Grated cheese quickly and easily!
I used this product to shred cheese for tostadas and enchiladas. Attachment slipped in and I was able to use immediately. Great product. Should have bought but a long time ago.

Only 2 of the 3 blades fit
The first picture shows the inside of the attachment that goes on the front of the KitchenAid mixer. You can see that there are more than 3 ridges that the blades must slide over in the center. The second picture shows one of the shredder blades (on the right) what has six indentations that go over the piece on the inside of the attachment. The blade on the left, the slicer blade, has only three indentations. The cap which goes over the front of the attachment to keep the blades from spinning out and falling off will not snap on because the slicer will not sink into the attachment all the way.I returned the item and they sent me a replacement immediately (the next day!), but the slicer STILL has the issue where it will not physically fit over all of the ridges on the inside of the attachment. I really bought the attachment for the slicer as I have two hand-held graters already. I'm now going to have to return the second item they sent because it has the same problem as the first item.
