Love the Price, Disappointed about the Corn Oil, I have an Alternative
This product is fantastic in terms of taste and price. It's the best price I can find on the internet. The seaweed is in sheets the size of Nori (the dark seaweed used to wrap sushi) but is cooked in oil or roasted to a light, crunchy taste that is so thin it melts in your mouth. If you are a fan of David Wolfe who speaks about Superfoods he teaches that most health conditions are a mineral deficiency so if you eat seaweed daily it can cure if not vastly help any health condition. So I snack on these at night, it helps me to not eat anything with carbs or virtually any calories at all. The salt is sea salt which is very healthy for you.I'm concerned to learn from other posters here that these use corn oil. I was not aware of that so I'll keep my initial 5 star review for taste and price but I originally bought them because they say they use olive oil which promotes health and good skin. Corn oil causes wrinkles and is an unstable, rancid fat. So I will have to go to my alternative site in the future.I Herb dot com has organic, cheap alternatives and does sell other brands that might have another oil. Look for anything that is not a vegetable oil with the exception of olive oil (the Youtube "The Oiling of America" explains why). As for meals, I offset these snacks with Sea Tangle seaweed noodles (I Herb has them for 3X cheaper than here) that I turn into low carb, high mineral longevity promoting, tasty meals that have a few times a week (those I get for $4 a pack, free ship for $20 with another $10 off with coupon code HGB599). All told, I love the taste and price of this brand but I'm actually eating these for good skin and longevity so I'll be trying my alternative site next time around since all the brands here use corn oil which wrinkles the skin and causes other health issues. The posters at I Herb are generally just as helpful as they are here so I find that if I buy from Ebay (for mushrooms) and then check I Herb and here I get the best price and most helpful feedback from commentors so I know what's the cheapest, best products to supplement my groceries.

My favorite seaweed snack
This product arrived quickly and intact. The flavor is very nice, especially for a person that has never been to Korea or Japan. The first time I tried a seaweed snack I thought I would never buy another. Yes, I bought the Star-Gem brand. It tasted exactly like fish food smells like. Not with K Pop, this is the good quality seaweed snack The kimchi flavor is very nice, but not like real kimchi. I also think you found a good enough oil and salt for this I would have preferred olive oil, but that canola oil gets the job done.As far as that one review that says it is not for American Tastes, they could not be more wrong. This US Army Veteran loves them and will purchase again.

read the tiny, tiny print
COUPLE MONTHS LATER. Good news, bad news. Still has corn oil. But, after numerous searches, reading, etc., I can locate no roasted seaweed without corn oil and without horrendous reviews. I tried others, one I had to throw away. So, this is it. If you have to have roasted seaweed, this is the best there is now that being blue is gone (and being blue had corn oil).Been getting being blue seaweed. They no longer sell it as far as I can tell. Searched new costco kirkland brand seaweed, CORN OIL!After much research, got the seaweed Love, sesame and olive. Imagine my surprise when I literally got the magnifying glass and read sesame and CORN OIL. Olive oil and CORN oil.But on the front of the package it FAILS to mention CORN oil!Taste is ok to good.Corn oil is generally less expensive than most other types of vegetable oils. As I suspected. Corn oil is also a feedstock used for biodiesel. Other industrial uses for corn oil include soap, salve, paint, rustproofing for metal surfaces, inks, textiles, nitroglycerin, and insecticides.CORN OIL IS OMEGA 6. BAD. Very disappointing.Found on web.Corn oil is high in polyunsaturated fat and tends to undergo oxidation more readily than some other oils (e.g., olive). Oxidized fats generate free radical damage to cells, a process that is implicated in various degenerative diseases, especially certain cancers. For example, corn oil is used experimentally to promote tumor growth in some laboratory models of breast, colon, and other cancers.Corn oil may also impair immune function. I typically recommend to my patients that they try and limit or avoid corn oil and use olive or other monounsaturated or essential fats instead.I also recommend that they refrigerate and light-protect all oils, as most commercial oils undergo oxidation more rapidly at room temperature and with exposure to light.

Very Good Quality
I bought this because I was looking for a healthy, low calorie crunchy snack. I also wanted to make sure I was getting enough iodine. I usually get plain nori sheets to snack on, but I saw this and thought why not? It's delicious! I'm eating the sesame flavor right now and after the first bite I knew I would be a repeat buyer. It's much better than plain nori. Very light and crispy with just enough salt and the perfect touch of sesame flavor. Good price for a case of 24 too. My only worry will be hiding this stuff from the family.
