Joe Bright and the Seven Genre Dudes

I used this book with my library classes as an introduction to a lesson on genres. It worked best with grades 3 and 4. You have to use a lot of animation in your voice to keep this from dragging but it has good solid information and is a good jump off part to lessons on genres.

What a cute way to introduce genre to children. My students loved the story, and started connecting the books they were reading with one of the characters.

Students really enjoyed the tale and it was a great teaching tool to use with when introducing the different genre to younger students.

This book is a prefect introduction to teaching genres. I use this book at my elementary school and the kids love it.
