awesome
I cannot believe someone gave this a bad review. Clearly she did not understand it. That is sad because this is a great way to remind or teach students about book care. It could be used in a public library setting as well. I will read grades 2 or 3 and then speak about book care. This is 100 times better than boring Mr. Wiggles.

Never let a ghost borrow your library book
I read this to my second graders and they really liked it. Creative way to teach about book care

good rules - though mostly "don'ts" - and a mish mosh of themes (secret service, ghosts, vampires mentioned but not integrated)
I was expecting more from this book based on the reviews here. I really want a book that helps explain how to handle library books in a fun way, not overly didactic, meandering, nor long, but clever. So far I haven't found it.

This was way cute and showed the kids how we don't pass books around without checking them out for ourselves.

A hilarious picture book about caring for the books you have checked out at the library. Never Let a Ghost Borrow Your Library Book by Karen Casale shares 16 V.O.G.'s (Very Official Guidelines) created by the members of the Library Secret Service (LSS) which instructs readers of all ages how to borrow and care for library books.V.O.G. #4 Never, I mean NEVER, let a ghost borrow your library book (page 7).Each V.O.G. is listed and includes a reason why it is a guideline to uphold when reading your selected book you borrowed. This is a practical and humorous way to start a conversation about caring for books checked out from the school library, classroom library, or the public library. I think I will be reading this book on the day we begin using our classroom library, I have been building since I started the Elementary Education program at College of Southern Idaho in 2014.
