These soft peppermint sticks are the genuine article!Soft peppermint sticks used to be a holiday tradition in our house when I was a kid. As I got older, the availability of tasty, soft peppermint sticks started to become as scarce as manifestations of the true spirit of Christmas. There are lots of "soft peppermint sticks" out there, but many of them lack peppermint flavor, or are sickeningly sweet, or are downright crispy--more like candy canes than peppermint sticks.I was please to see that the King Leo variety are very much like the old-fashioned soft peppermint sticks that I enjoyed as a child during the holidays. The texture is smooth and soft, the flavor is outstanding and they aren't grotesquely sweet. They come in a swell tin that I'll use for other stuff later on. Once they are opened, the tin helps keep them fresh, but beware that the hardening process begins once air is introduced, particularly in a humid climate. In other words, open them, eat them and enjoy them. Don't try and hoard them for three months after they're opened.Relatively speaking, these sticks are a little bit on the expensive side of the market, but I think they're worth it. Holidays only come once a year. Why spend less on a peppermint stick that's going to end up being as obnoxious and unsatisfying as a post-dinner conversation with your drunk uncle Huey is after a couple of too many eggnogs?

I love these AMAZING King Leo Brand Peppermint Sticks sold by Candy Crate. They melt away in your mouth, from the first stick to the last. I've been ordering these from Candy Crate for years - first on their web site and now from Amazon. If you like peppermint, you should try these King Leo Brand Peppermint Sticks. I don't know how they make these peppermint sticks so soft, but make them they do - and they are mouth-watering. When I first ordered these peppermint sticks, I thought they would be hard like all the rest. Boy was I surprised. I put that first stick in my mouth and in just a few minutes, it was gone. Of course I generally break them in half before putting them in my mouth. That way I can savor them longer. The last order I placed in June 2012 was for 6 tins because I had run out of tins, and I hate to do that - leaving me without my favorite candy. And to top it off, these peppermint sticks are low in fat. What a bonus. Do watch out for the shipping costs because they tend to add up the more tins you order as these tins are heavy. I hope you enjoy these peppermint sticks as much as I do - I am constantly eating them throughout the day. I guess that is why I go through my boxes so quickly, and they may be high in sugar content, but I haven't gained a single pound from eating these sticks!

If you're not crazy about traditional candy canes, you just might go for these: a bit like the soft restaurant mints that sort of melt in your mouth or can be crunched without worry of breaking your teeth! They taste great and a satisfying holiday treat!

Ordered this to use for my Baltimore Lemon Sticks, and the candy is perfect for that. "Soft", in the sense that they are more porous and dissolve better than a candy cane-type peppermint stick. However, these no longer come in a metal tin but a thin cardboard canister. And they are shipped in an envelope package, not a box. So unless you order something bigger that is boxed or will require a box, the candy will likely end up damaged.

Disappointed that Candy didn’t come in original tin container; peppermint sticks still taste great, although they are shorter and are a little more like a hard candy. I liked the softer style.

I enjoyed the taste of the candy, but I was really looking forward to getting the blue tin as pictured on the product page! Nope! You will not get that tin! Instead, you’ll receive a CHEAP cardboard container which you’ll toss. I was very disappointed. I will not be ordering from this vendor. It’s false advertising. Buyer BEWARE! If you’re looking for a collectors tin, look elsewhere!

I and my family love these soft peppermint sticks! They are more flavorful than candy canes, and are soft enough to be easier on your teeth if you're the kind of person who likes to crunch your candy. They are easy to open, too, as each one is individually wrapped (and fresh), but it's still not hard to unwrap. Love these!

I was looking at various food products in the Amazon store and came across King Leo's peppermints. I read the various reviews and developed an appetite for peppermint. These peppermints in the cute can are really good. The candy is individually was. The candy itself has a thin hard shell surrounding a very soft peppermint flavoured candy. They're amazingly good. Each stick is about 1 1/2" in length. This will definitely become my mint if choice (along with Altoids).

I looked forward to getting these because I’ve had them before. But to me they were stale, disappointing. My husband liked them, ate them all.

I previously purchased King Leo soft peppermint sticks for Christmas 2021 at a local store. They were nice and minty (they ARE supposed to be mint sticks!) and I was happy to find them online on Amazon. I ordered the tub and there is ZERO mint flavour. I am very disappointed and will not buy these again.

As advertised, these soft peppermint sticks are 3” long, separately wrapped, and come in a sturdy can. If you like peppermint flavour, but never cared for hard candy canes like me, then you’ll love these yummy treats.
