The One Minute Manager is a very short yet effective book. In today’s busy world you don't get much time to manage your staff. I tend to agree that what the boss thinks you do and what you actually do can be different objectives. Building high performance teams can be tricky, just ask your modern football manager. The secret in my opinion is achieving a shared assessment structure which everyone is happy with. That said, successful employees are rarely told they could improve so it’s a tough call, but by using Ken Blanchard's methods you may succeed.
