Amazing product but please keep it safe to use, I got two items one was damaged

Y*U*K! "You know is it good for you because it tastes so nasty/hurts so much!" Is what my grandma used to tell me when I was a kid and would balk at taking meds. (I'm from the "a spoonful of cod liver oil/ dab some mercurochrome on it.....and all is good" generations. Nasty tasting/stinky meds.... not something new for me.) She was right and seems the worse it tastes the better it is for us. I add a tea spoon of organic lemon or lime juice to it, gulp it down like a shooter ( it smells like an oyster shooter, which is fine for me, I love oysters, to bad it doesn't taste like an oyster shooter!) Then I have something handy to chew on right after I get it down to help get rid of the after taste. I've found a chuck of bell pepper, a few bites of carrot, works great to get rid of the after tastes quick. I wouldn't put myself thru taking this *UGH REALLY REALLY UGH* if I didn't think it is working. I started taking it at the recommendation of my doctor (Not this brand, just this type of oil combo) to lower my "ify" not over where it should be but really close to being over .... LDL. About seven weeks into using it and my LDL has dropped to a healthy level. I also noticed my skin looks brighter and the mild darkness under my eyes is clearing up. I am a 56 year old female who is trying to clean up after some not great habits as a younger person and I do think this is making a difference in my overall health. I skipped a week over the new year, forgot to take it with me on a road trip and I noticed my skin lost some of the brightness and the darkness started to show back up under my eyes. It earns the five stars......even as nasty as it tastes.

The very first time I took this. I mixed it with grape juice, bad idea! It made the taste stronger and made me almost regret taking this in liquid form by mixing it. I know the benefits of Fish Oil so I was looking for a Manufacturer that was rated high in quality. I asked my Doctor and this brand is in the top 3 he mentioned. The other 2 I couldn't recall their names now, but I remember when I was researching I didn't see many reviews. Then I read alot of helpful reviews on Amazon and online, but for Nordic Naturals. I compared the Positives and Negatives (Negatives: Fishy taste even though lemon flavored (hardly) and you wouldn't be able to take this on vacation if it's opened-needs refridgeration plus bottle to big. Cap is not so great after liquid is left on rim when you close it so you have to wipe well). Then tried for myself. I wish they had a dropper that came with it and a better cap though because the contents are very thick. You have to keep it in the Fridge after opening it. However, not giving up by day 3 I took it and ate afterwards so it made the whole fishy taste go away. I just pour a tspn and toss it to the back of my throat avoiding my tongue once daily. Drink water or OJ and eat. I do feel like its helped my digestion compared to taking this in pill form. With the pill form, I felt like I had fish burps like it wasn't digested-Costco brand. My skin is better too, but I'm not sure if that's just because I haven't been in the sun lately. I paid $46.70 on Amazon and regular price is $54.95. It was shipped to me wrapped well so cap/seal was protected.
